Hey Race Fans, I'm Chris Turley, I am 25 years old from Oxford, I grew up in my younger days in Hollis/Heflin. I moved to Oxford, at the age of eight and finished school there. I'm currently work at the Anniston Army Depot. I live in one of my parents rental house with my beautiful wife Joanie Wooten Turley..which i love with all my heart!! I love racing. I finished 125th in the Stormpay.com Weekly East Region Points standings for 2007. Competing against 209 other drivers. I only raced 2 of the 16 races in the west region When I wasn't racing in the West region. I was racing in the east region at Columbus Speedway known as the "Baddest Bull Ring in the South" Were I picked up my win ever on spetemeber 9,2006. Being the only driver in the Stormpay.com History of Stormpayracing.com to win driving with hand controls due to my legs being a little on the down side. I finished 53rd postion in the east region out of 241 drivers. I only made 6 of the 16 races in the stormpay.com east region. The reason I didn't make many races at all this year was due to the Hand controls being very had to handle on my thumb for over about 10 laps. I drive with hand controls due to being paralized while having my tumor removed at St. Jude where I was treated for Cancer. I recieved alot of the fealings back and can walk with a can. However, I do not have full movement in my legs to be able to drive with gas and brake pedals. I'm a St. Jude Cancer Survivor. I'm the only driver in the Nesmithracing.com Series that drives with Hand Controls. I've had a few top 10s and one top five. I have to thank Terry, Jeff Coleman and Scott Moses most of all for there help every chance they get they are at the shop helping my dad work on the car.so I'm able to go race each weekend God allows me to feel like it. Along with my dad George and his Used cars and Insurance work at D & T Motors, Inc. I also carry a full line of Brand new Honda and GM parts that I sell on . Ebay
I Thank God Each day that I'm still here and I look at each day as it could be the last since my fight with cancer in 1998. I take pride in everything I do. I'm not like most race car drivers. I like to talk to all my fans and meet as many as I can and get to know them. So please make sure to get your car tag, window deal, or T-shirt from my site. I'm always looking for new people to go hang out with so get in touch with me. If there is any event you know of that is looking for someone to speak at it then let me know I'll do my best to be there and help out. I love to meet new people, so hit me up and lets hang out.
