What Is YouChoose?
www.moli.com/youchoose

YouChoose.net is a community of passionate individuals who create and participate in Campaigns that empower them to accomplish common goals. It is the belief of our members that if enough people join their voices, and take action to accomplish a common goal, then that goal can be achieved.
The Issue
Virtually everyone has a passion - a cause they believe in - and a desire to make a difference. While some goals can be accomplished with a solo effort, most benefit from the combined support of a network of individuals.
Our Belief
That people, together, with knowledge, have power. That goals can be accomplished, every day, especially with the support of others. As Arlo Guthrie says in his song (more of a long story with a background rhythm actually) Alice's Restaurant, "if just one person does it they may think he's sick...but if fifty people a day do it...they may thinks it's a movement." Well, we think that millions of people can participate in YouChoose. And if we stand together in the millions, we will be noticed. You can be part of this movement. YouChoose your goal. YouChoose to empower yourself and others. YouChoose to prove that people do have power and that together, with them, YouChoose to make a difference.
Our Pledge
To empower people - turning their passions into actions - by providing them with the information, support and social network they need to accomplish their goals.

  • 'My Own Worst Enemy'
Christian Slater is great fun in a dual role as a secret agent who happens to share a body with a suburban dad.

It may feel like Christian Slater has been missing in action for a while, but that's not precisely true. If he hasn't made the splash his early roles in "Pump Up the Volume" and "Heathers" seemed to promise, he's worked pretty steadily, showing up in high-profile films such as "Bobby" and "The Good Shepherd" and doing TV work on "The West Wing" and "Alias."
  • 'Quarantine'
The recovered-video-style horror film has pretty good performances and some thrills, but in the end you'll want out.

The recovered-video genre of horror ("The Blair Witch Project," "Cloverfield") may still have legs, but if “Quarantine” is any indication, they're wobbling.
  • All is forgiven; McCain returning to Letterman
Despite the "squirelly" comments and top ten roasts, the late night host books the senator.

  • Branford Marsalis and the Philarmonia Brasileira
The sax player and the Brazilian chamber group explore the works of Darius Milhaud and Heitor Villa-Lobos in an uneven performance at Royce Hall.

Make a poet a diplomat and good may come of it. France sent the great humanist writer Paul Claudel to Brazil during World War I, and food found its way from South America to France during a period of privation. So too did Brazilian music, once the war was won.
  • Can Anne Hathaway get an Oscar?
The 'Rachel Getting Married' star has a few historic things going for her.
