From the Owner
DESTINO has changed forms over the past 8 years. Initially the concept was inspired by a cafe in Madrid called "Nuevo Cafe Barbieri" in Lavapies.
This cafe was my living room—a haven of memories, entertainment, and really good cafe con leche.
I realized that San Francisco lacked this bistro-style feel where people could relax and have a great experience. Instead, the city has been
plagued with a generic and emotionless industry where the focus is placed more on the prestige of a location instead of the passion that was used to create it.
DESTINO began as a dream and is now a reality. It will continue to serve as a vehicle—a place where people can dine, enjoy, and relish the joy of life.
