I'm an avid reader. The list of books I enjoy is hard to nail down. i do love bookstores, though--especially old, out-of-the-way little book stores. I LOVE the Strand on 14th street in NYC. Authors I like--P.J. O'Rourke, Robert Kiyosaki, and Wayne Dyer for a few.

I'm an avid fitness guy. I was a personal trainer certified through American Council on Exercise (ACE). I'm a believer in maintaining a fitness level, and the importance of nutrition. Our bodies are literally constructed from the food we eat, so I think that what we put into our bodies is way more important than people realize. I also lift weights, run 10K's and do martial arts (TKD)

I'll list a few works later, but there are a few pieces that move me to tears-- Winslow Homer's "Gulf Stream", Van Gogh's "Starry Night" (I know, don't remind me!), Hopper's "Nighthawks"--the original, not the Elvis/Marilyn Monroe knock-off.

I'm a film buff, and good TV shows... I'm also one of the small group of hetero musical theater fans. (One of my gay friends told me that's a New York thing--which I knew, but it was validation!) especially "Jeckyll & Hyde--the Musical". I worked as a bartender in the Plymouth Theater during the original cast run (Robert Cuccioli and Linda Eder) and I loved it. Great score! Les Miz is always nice, too. (I didn't really get into Cats, but I was stoned AND had to leave the show early, so maybe I need to see it again)

I'm really not the biggest fan of team sports, preferring individual sports. I do enjoy baseball, but largely because of its historical aspect that ties in with our nation's history. See Ken Burn's "Baseball" to get what I mean by that. that being said, I've always loved the NY Mets, but I also respect the Yankees a lot. Any NY sports team that excels, I support.
