About the Business
Hello, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and my organization. I am the Founder & Chairman of the Invisible Youth Network , an expansive online network founded on March 26, 2007 with the purpose of: Providing resources and support for an estimated 1.5 million homeless at risk youth, walking the streets of our city. We do this , every day, in cities across America. We carry out our mission through our partner organizations and volunteers who go to the streets in order to find, stabilize , and otherwise help homeless and at risk youth improve their lives. Our focus goes beyond street outreach and extends to deterrence, research, resources, seminars, training and workshops that we provide to the communities and via the Internet. Although our slogan is "Advocating for America''s Youth," our endeavors are towards all homeless and at risk children no matter their geographical location. The local media''s have estimated that there are approximately 4,000 homeless youth walking the streets of San Diego, California alone. One more day to these youth is like an eternity. One more day is another chance for a predator to take advantage of them. One more night to sleep on a cardboard box in an alley way, one more morning to wake up alone and wonder why you were given the hand you were dealt. One more day to have those all too familiar defeating thoughts and emotions, one more day t o makes their dreams fade a way into nothing. One more day to go hungry and try to stave off the hunger with half eaten dumpsite food or bad tasting water . Our one more day in paradise is one more treacherous lie to them, one more betrayal, one more... We need to help them now. Our volunteers at IYN are dedicating their lives and time to helping them get off the street , and away from the threat of becoming one more death, one more rape, one more crime, one more suicide, one more desperate act that sends them to prison, one more... We ask you to think about this, join us , and reach-out and make a difference in these kids'' lives. Your membership and voice will add to our effectiveness in making a difference in these kids lives. Please visit our Invisible Youth web site for an overview of our organization and endeavors. http://invisibleyouthnetwork.community.officelive.com/default.aspx Russell T. Our Goals
The Invisible Youth Network is committed to recruiting individuals interested in working with children as youth advocates. Our volunteers come, and continue to come, because of their own commitment to the work we do and because the experience they gain is invaluable. Our many programs include opportunities for training followed by supervised work with our staff in the areas in which we need the most assistance. In exchange for the tremendous contribution volunteers make to our organization, we are conscientious about making the volunteer experience one which will be meaningful and rewarding. Our goals are to continue to motivate our volunteers to become engaged in working with and for the interest of youth while helping them develop the skills that will be essential to accomplish their goals.

For anybody reading this, I would encourage you to join us here.  We're a relatively-new organization, but we've already made a positive difference in a number of young lives, and I'm proud to be a part of IYN.

I'd also like to cordially invite you to visit our online store where we have a growing number of neat items for sale with all of our profits going to IYN.

Here are all the people you know on MOLI (so far). You can add more people by clicking the link under the individual's profile picture. You can change the permissions for any individual by clicking edit to the left of this help link.
