We recorded the drum tracks for the EP in London in early March 2007.
A few weeks later we packed as much equipment as possible into a van and drove to Crugnant farm in Llanbrynmair, North Wales.
We were at the bottom of a valley surrounded by vast fields full of sheep. If we needed food or drink supplies we had to drive to the nearest town... 10 miles away.
The guitar, bass, keyboard and vocal tracks were recorded in the bedrooms, pantrey and living room of the cottage.
The living room was an ideal environment for the control room because it had an open log burning fire and as the recording sessions often went on into the early hours the fire became a neccesity as the cold wind swept through the valley and up our backs.
We were in Wales, almost entirely without phone reception for a week.
With no distractions and almost completely cut off from the outside world we were able to work hard and fast and we just about finshed recording the 5 tracks.
The fianl touches to the tracks (most of "New Car") were done at Scream Studios in London a month later.
We're still working with the amazing Steve Lyon and hope to finish the album early next year.
