Point Foundation provides financial support, mentoring and hope to meritorious students who are marginalized due to sexual orientation, gender expression or gender identity.
Bio
Since joining Point in 2005, Marnie has been responsible for overhauling the organizational database, establishing standards for maintaining the integrity of the data and overseeing the maintenance of the current systems. Before coming to Point, Marnie worked as the AmeriCorps Program Manager at the Parasol Community Foundation in Lake Tahoe, where she was responsible for writing, implementing and reporting on a federal grant. Under her direction, the program received a superior rating from the Corporation for National and Community Service, along with high accolades from the Nevada Commission for National and Community Service. In 2004, Marnie received the Volunteer of the Year award from the Incline Village Chamber of Commerce. Marnie currently resides in San Francisco.
