About Joker Five Speed
The bona-fide, certified, tattooed and black eyed, hard charging soldiers of JOKER FIVE SPEED are dishing out the attitude, the sounds and the glory from the center stage of New York City directly into the Rock-starved soul of America.
Have you ever experienced sensory overload? Have you ever truly witnessed a sonic onslaught? Have you ever been bruised from standing too close to the speakers? Well get ready. Get set. Because JOKER FIVE SPEED is coming, with more hooks than a japanese fishing boat and more swagger than Mick Jagger. "Rock and Roll should come from below the belt...", explains the bare chested, ink splattered, mirror shaded lead vocalist, known only as TOR, "...otherwise it just isn't honest." Lead Bass player Scarlet Rowe, with enough energy bubbling out through his pores to power a small nation, tends to agree: "If it ain't about f***ing or fightin', then don't bore me." Marking JOKER FIVE SPEED as true arena worthy superstars is their one of a kind live show, one of the most exiting and talked about events in the gritty city they call home. Along with Scarlet's raw intensity and TOR's one of a kind charisma, the dizzying fretwork of lead guitar god BSTONE will have young kids locked in their rooms practicing all night. With the meanest style and the strongest strut, this axe hero for the next millennium does not disappoint. And, managing to make the drumset sound like a supercharged V8-powered bulldozer, Roger Benton puts in 111% every time. "When it hurts, I know I'm playing hard enough". The others concur: "The guy's an animal." Together, the combined effect is something akin to a snarling, smoking, tire burning and gasoline belching hot rod teetering on the edge of control. And with their brand new full length album, "Under the Influence of Rock and Roll", (Bel-Air Records) JOKER FIVE SPEED are terrorizing the parking lots of music stores everywhere. Produced by JJ Blair, known for his work with artists as diverse as Rage Against The Machine and Rod Stewart, these are nine songs of pure adrenaline. Frontman TOR sums it all up: "We don't want you to just 'watch' JOKER FIVE SPEED, and we don't want you to just 'hear' JOKER FIVE SPEED," he explains with a note of sincerity, "We want you to EXPERIENCE JOKER FIVE SPEED. Because these songs come from within us, they are who we are... and we want to share that with people." With successful east and west coast tours under their belts, and more in store for the future, the number of people effected by JOKER FIVE SPEED is growing every day. (Every. Day.) This is what the music world wants. This is what the music world needs. And this is what it had best prepare for.
