I was arts editor of the "underground" newspaper at a Catholic college. I got in trouble with the dean for using the word "cxnt" to describe Linda Trip. My mom was proud.

Rock n roll, food, naps, cats, vulgarity, good writing, bad jokes, high quality teas (Lipton et. al. is Satan's snuff), non-fiction books, hanging out with my brother and singing Misfits songs with him, going to museums (profile picture by Wendy Case, taken at the Museum of Natural History in front of the Hall of Biodiversity), long walks, riveting conversations, cute girls, stuff and things.

Dawdling, putzing, coming up with vulgar metaphors for everything in my life, LOLcats, air drumming, live music. And I write about the rock and the roll.

Whatever makes the living part of life more understandable and do-able. And I do NOT mean self-help literature. Jim Carroll is my favorite living writer. To Kill a Mockingbird is THE perfect book. Everything you need to know about life is in that book. In Cold Blood is brilliant. Misfits Manifetso: The Spiritual Journey of a Rock N Roll Heart by Dr. Donna Gaines had me crying before the end of the introduction.
