A performance-based documentary about the life of screenwriter Dalton Trumbo who while blacklisted during McCarthyism, wrote not only some extraordinary films including “Roman Holiday,†“Spartacus,†and "The Brave One,†but also a collection of brilliant and incredibly poignant letters.  The film, using these letters as a narrative arc, and read by Joan Allen, Paul Giamatti, Danny Glover, Nathan Lane, Liam Neeson, David Strathairn, and Donald Sutherland)  will illuminate how one man can and did break a virulent blacklist instigated by one of the most oppressive and censorial right wing governments in recent history.  Film in post-production, to be sold in a festival in 2007, released 2008?
