EH3
Produced by Bob Ebeling and Charles Hughes Engineered by Bob Ebeling Recorded at Rustbelt Studios Fall 2001 Unreleased This is the 3'rd EH record. Chuck and I checked into Rustbelt to tackle some things we hadn't tackled yet. First, our previous records took all of two years each to complete. This time we would do it in only two months--basically living in the studio. Secondly, previous records were less like our live shows which had alot of improv. This time we would improv more. This ended up partly working. Thirdly, we wanted to explore our Motown roots--lots of tambourine, killer bass grooves, etc...For this we enlisted Detroit bass gurus Andrew Nehra and Sam Vail, making the record more of a three piece kinda. What I remember most from making this one is the energy we had in the studio. We were fired up and excited constantly, high energy, and you can hear here a brighter, lighter EH. We also explored alot of vocal harmonies, and of all EH, the vocals on this one sounds the best.
