Oh, I totally know what you mean. For me it was darkroom only with B&W film on a manual Nikon. No photoshop! haha. Now, well, I love digital, and I love photoshop (although I suck at it so don't use it yet). I'm getting there.
The D40 is supposed to be a great camera! Cool.

So if you are ever looking for a good movie to watch, let me recomend one.   Well actually it's a documentary....but it's the highest selling documentary of all time, so it must be good.  If you are into music than you're in luck.  It's called Standing In The Shadows of Motown.  It follows the story of the band that played the music on every Motown song regardless of who was singing. yes, one band played on every single track......their name was The Funk Brothers.  They have more number one singles under their belt than Elvis, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and The Beach Boys combined...and you've never even heard of them.  oh yeah, and i'm in the movie too. only for a second, but yeah.  represent Detroit.
