I attempt to produce pots that are both functional and attractive, while at the same time, bringing out the spirit of the clay in each piece.
I tend to use my background of mixed media sculpture in my clay work,
by bringing in elements such as leather, polished and rough cut stones, metals, feathers, and wood.
I enjoy the fusion of natural elements, using each to compliment the other.
My functional pieces are all lead free, oven, dishwasher, and microwave safe,
and I have a strong desire to know that my pots are being used in day to day life, instead of sitting on a shelf to collect dust.
My non-functional work, tends to include a mix of cultural influences, textures and unexpected shapes.
Wall masks with undefinable tribal overtones, and wall hangings that combine clay, with my other favorite materials.
