DJ Neil Armstrong is a 10-year veteran of the turntablist scene and a mainstay in the New York Hip Hop Underground. He is currently Jay-Z’s Tour DJ for the “Heart of the City” World Tour. Neil has also shared the stage with other acclaimed artists across the Hip Hop spectrum - from De La Soul, The Roots, Company Flow and Biz Markie, to LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, Slick Rick and Wyclef Jean. He is a founding member of the turntablist battle crew, the 5th Platoon and has taught at both the Scratch Academy and the Red Bull Music Academy. He has been named to Rolling Stones? "Top 10" Mixtape DJ's, was a member of the critically-acclaimed, 2-time Grammy-Award-nominated jazz band - "Russell Gunn and Ethnomusicology," has performed at the DMC Finals, has spoken for Harvard, Stanford and NYU, has been featured in publications from The NY Times to Rap Pages - and - hooked up a collabo shoe with Adidas in 2007.
