    I have listened to and liked your music over the last decade, and I must say that I never bought any of your albums, I just listened to the songs that played on the radio, because I thought that your lyrics were nasty and degrading to women. But, Honey, when you came out with LaBella Mafia, I flipped out!!!! My girl bought it on bootleg and gave it to me to listen to. After I listened to it, I threw it in the garbage!! You hear me?! I threw that mutha in the garbage, because that right there should only be listened to on the realest, and purest wax.!!! So I went out and bought two real copies, one for me and one for her.!!
       When I listened to that cd, it was like someone had put your words into a syringe and shot them up in my veins. It was like a drug and I was addicted!!!! I listened to that cd everywhere!! At home cleaning, in the car, etc.
        As I grew , and embraced my sexuality, I began to understand what you were saying. I love being a woman and I love men, especially if they got the "MAGIC STICK"!! Ha-Haaaaaaaaa!

Standing just 4 feet 11 inches tall Kimberly Jones seems much less than being just your average girl in the hood, but when "Lil' Kim" was introduced to the world she became known for her provocative over-the-top outfits, glamorous blonde hair-dos, pornographic attitude, sexy man-crazed looks, and a groundbreaking triumph that eventually secured her place as one of the few female rappers in a male-dominated industry. A native of Brooklyn, New York, Kimberly was born into a broken home, by age 9 her parents had filed for divorce, leaving her and older brother Christopher under the custody of their father. A rebellious child living under the strict rules of her dad, Kimberly and her father had constant fights, and eventually she ran away from home. As a teenager she lived with friends, drug-dealing boyfriends, and, occasionally, on the streets. After meeting her mentor and life saver Christopher Wallace, (Notorious B.I.G/Biggie Smalls), she began to clean up her life and it was Christopher who helped her develop a career in music. By then Kimberly had taken in the slogan "Lil' Kim" after her height and curbing her name to just Kim. With the help of Christopher she became the only female member of the short lived rap group Junior M.A.F.I.A. Their 1995 debut album Conspiracy debuted at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and garnered the hit singles "Player's Anthem" (#13) and "Get Money" (#17). Her 2005 album, The Naked Truth, was awarded the 5 mics award from The Source magazine. She is the only female rapper so far to have achieved this distinction. In 2002, she won a Grammy Award for her role in "Lady Marmalade". On March 17, 2005, Kim was found guilty of conspiracy and perjury for lying to a grand jury about her friends' involvement in a 2001 shooting outside the Hot 97 studios in Manhattan On July 3, 2006, Kim was released from the Philadelphia Federal Detention Center. Hundreds of fans and supporters gathered around the prison as she made her release, holding a "Welcome Home" balloon and a dozen roses. After she waved to her fans and gave speeches to news reporters, Kim left in a 2007 Rolls Royce Phantom with a driver, telling the crowds, "Thank you, I love you all."
