Shávon Reed is a television executive, personality, and skilled professional in many areas of mass communications. Her strength of character is poised with integrity, resilience, intellect, ambition and creativity. Reed is the Vice-President and Co-owner of MelEcho Productions Inc., a Full-Service Television & Video Production Center, in Sarasota, Florida and the owner and president of Echo-Luv Enterprises, LLC, a communications and social development network.
She is the executive producer and host of "Center Stage," a 30 -Minute magazine-style television show that airs Saturday Nights at 9pm on Comcast, Channel 21 and the voice and television correspondent for the Fort Valley, Georgia television show, "The Wild-cat report".
Shavon has interviewed and/or videotaped a number of celebrities such as: Poet Laureate Dr. Maya Angelo, Tyler Perry, Alisha Keys, Chris Brown, Kirk Frankland, Fred Hammond, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Chante Moore, Kenny Lattimore, Ne-Yo, Dr. Bobby Jones, Spike Lee, Charlie Rose, Vivica A. Fox, Nia Long, Anthony Anderson, Robert Johnson, founder of BET, Earl Graves, Sr., founder of Black Enterprise magazine and the list goes on.
In 2005, MelEcho was awarded the Entrepreneurial Excellence awarded from the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and also the Business and Industry of the Year Award from the NAACP and in 2007 received the Business of the Year Award from the North Sarasota Business & Professional Women's Association.
As a free-lance writer, poet and motivational speaker, Reed is determined to enrich lives through the power of communications.
Believing that education is a key to success, Reed is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a BA degree in Mass Communications with a specialization in Television Production. She is continuing her education with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Argosy University.
Shávon Reed believes, that the mind is the most powerful, yet most delicate part of man-kind. With her background in communications and unprecedented ability to inspire as a motivational speaker, Shavon's ultimate goal is to utilize her strengths to reach, research and provide effective treatment to those suffering from a lack of self-identity, purpose, and mental health.
