Love What You Do!: Spotlight on Michelle Wild

By: Simone Kelly-Brown/MOLI

21. Jul. 2008

For the last seven years, Michelle Wild has been taking photos of everything from fashion models, boudoir images, private parties, to even some very intimate images that might make you blush, since they are a bit on the wild side. ~Pun intended.~ LOL! I'm sure most of you would love a job like this, huh? Well, let's find out what she loves what she does...

Is there any interesting fact that you can share about your industry?

It's overrun with men, but I am one of few women who photograph erotica.

What's the most popular problem you help people solve?

Some clients don't always feel so comfortable being photographed in such a intimate way, even though they hired me. So, my job is to make them feel comfortable and at ease so that I can get the best possible images of them.

What year did you kiss Corporate America goodbye and why do you hope to never go back?

1999. I could never go back to having to be at the same place at the same time everyday.

How do you stay motivated?

Every day is something different. My dream, as a kid was to create art, and now I am doing that. That, for me, is motivation enough, I see how I am living my dream and it makes me proud and grateful ... It feels good to being what you were supposed to be doing in life.

What's your favorite area on Moli.com?

The small business message boards.

What's a unique talent that you have that might surprise us?

I can touch my tongue to my nose! LOL. I was also a painter before I was photographer.

Have you used Social Networking to gain new contacts/business?
