Maui.

Off to the contest site & do the waiting game for the supposed swell that's hit Pipeline...
I gave Kitty & Ash (Layne's sis & friend) a lift back to Napili Village, made another cuppa then back to the site.
Start Round 3 of the Roxy Pro Honalua Bay at lunchtime & LB in the first heat.
Beat Jaq Silva...
Interesting day w Sofia & Chelsea knocked out then Rosy knocked out Silvana Lima making Steph Gilmour the 2007 WCT World Champion...
Back to the Village to freshen' up, then off to Pineapple Grill for a subdued celebration for Steph.
As well as a farewell to Rochelle Ballard as leaving the tour...
Yummy fish dinner then home to beds...



14th December

Maui.

Up @ 6:am & off to the contest...
Running & LB in the first Quarters heat & won it.
I went & picked up the girls (Kit & Ash) & back to the contest.
LB lost to Jessi (again) by 0.35... Judges at fault fer sure...
LB pissed off.
Would have won the Triple Crown...
So Steph won the event..
Home for some lunch and a nap.
Get ready and off at 6:pm to the Rip Curl store for drinks but deadsville...
Then all over to Kimo's for supposed Billabong dinner but as usual a clusterf___.
So, we had dinner along with Marc.
In the end, Billapong did pay for drinks till about 11:pm.
Fun night & eventually most turned up...
Home round midnight.



15th December

Maui.

Sleep in a bit...
LB ran some boards over to Brooke to take to Oahu as leaving today.
Marc had MexBrek w us.
Get the girls ready & off to Lahaina.
LB do a video interview w Don Sands whilst the girls & I check out a small market.
Tony Roma's for lunch.
Hilo Hatties for Hawaiian stuff but hardly bought anything...
Home & relax.
Started watching Season 2 of Deadwood.
Borrowed Handsome Bugga's big wok & I cooked a big stirfry dinner for the girls & we all watched a couple of Deadwoods...



16th December

Maui.

Adventure Day.
Up & eventually on the road about 9:am to drive to the top of Hale kala.
Took about 2 hours to get to the top at 10,023ft... No vegetation except the freaky Ahinahina plants..
About 5?C so ran around the vantage points quickly...
The cold got to Catherine's Rainer's disease...
Back down the mountain & stop @ a Market store for some gifts.
Onto Makawao & a Mex called Polli's for a great lunch.
Check out some of the hippy shops in the town then off to Twin Falls.
About a 20 min walk.
Flowing too rapidly because of all the rain so no swims.
Pretty though (but the farm falls are better...).
Back to Napili Village by 6:pm...
A long day in the car.
Off to the Hula Grill at Whaler's Wharf in Kaanapali for dinner chosen by Kitty, as she won the what time will it take us to get to Twin Falls bet right.
Great dinner.
LB a bit of Xmas present shopping after.
Spoke to AF at length today.
Back to the rooms & beds...



17th December

Maui/Honolulu/Sunset.

Up & happy packing...
I cooked up a leftovers frittata for brek.
Gave the rest of our supplies to Rick the manager.
Check out, load up the car & off to the airport @ 10:am.
Check in at Hawaiian but tried to charge for the boards...
Eventually, after LB drop the car back, got them through no charge...
They took the big bottle of Vodka at security though...
So, a quick flight to Honolulu, p.u. a van, load up & off to the North Shore.
Stop at FoodLand for some supplies then off to Pete's house. Clean... not...!!!
Unload then all have a swim @ Kammies then LB a surf...
Finally got the Internet working so emails, etc...
Meant to go to a BBQ at the ASP house where the Farris's (Brooke, Marcia & David) are staying, but we all vetoed it as too tired...
LB cook a really, really hot Thai tofu curry for dinner...
Watched Starsky & Hutch movie...
LB not feeling well so bed earlyish.



18th December

Sunset.

Pretty crap sleep w cars whizzing by and wind, rain & surf adding to the ambient noise...
All off to Turtle Bay Board Room to view some stuff by Don Sand who is putting together a doco on LB... Pretty good... (I did an interview for him at Honalua Bay last week). Discussed some ideas on how to improve it thus far...
Off to p.u. stuff from Brooke at the ASP house.
FoodLand for supplies then home for a 4-episode marathon of Deadwood as raining.
All had a swim then LB & I get ready for Rochelle Ballard's official farewell party.
Brooke pick us up w Marcia & David.
Amazing house in the Sunset Colony.
About 50 family & friends showed up for the party.
Drinks outside w some Hawaiian Ukulele singers & some hula dancing.
Some speeches then a sit down, totally organic dinner...
Food was amazing.
More funny speeches.
Finish about 10:30pm then some, including us, off to Haleiwa Jo's for party...
LB, Brooke & I had one drink then decided to head home.
Drop Brooke at hers then take her car on home...
Beds by midnight...



19th December

Sunset.

Up about 8:pm & LB a quick surf...
I cooked pesto scrambled eggs for breky...
Pack up the girls & drop Brooke's car then off to Honolulu airport to p.u. Neil (Layne's Dad) arriving at10:am.
Drop Neil, Catherine & Ash to Neil's Hotel then back to Pete's house.
Marcia, David, LB & I go play 9 holes of golf at Turtle Bay. Played an Ambrose teams game - LB & I against the Farris's...
We won cause of my superior putting...
Lei Lei's for drinks & dinner.
Home to emails & bed...



Aps meant to leave for Hawaii @ 9:15pm Hawaii time but after many hours delay, her flight got cancelled...



20th December

Haleiwa/Sunset.

Aps meant to arrive but as flight got cancelled no go (rescheduled departure for midday our time...).
So, LB a surf then off to the airport to p.u. Neil & Catherine after dropping Ashleigh to the airport (flying home).
Costco for big stuff food shop.
Lunch stop @ Sharks Cove Grill before heading back to Pete's for the big pack.
Out of there @ 3:30pm & off to the Christmas House @ Laniakea...
P.U. David as he couldn't fit in Brookes car w all their luggage...
Arrive & eventually get the access code in...
Caretaker arrive & told us no beach access...
So, LB negotiate for her to find another house & in the end she gave us the code to the beach gate, as long as we are quiet and behave...!!!
So, move everything in, sort the kitchen, then have a drink...
All down to the beach for a swim at suns set.
Back to the house for spa, etc...
Get ready then all out to Cholo's for dinner.
Home and LB & I have a nap...
Aps land @ 11:30pm so LB & I back to Honolulu airport for the 2nd time today to get Aps.
Home to bed by 1:am...



21st December

Laniakea.

Up too early...
LB off to Kammies for a surf whilst I do stackso emails...
I cooked pesto eggs for all for breky.
Aps & I went for a swim at the beach then all get ready & off in both cars for final Xmas shopping..
First stop Waikele.
Then split up... Neil, Aps, LB & I, off to Pearl Ridge. then Costco, then to Wallmart.
Big accident on the way home on the road to Haleiwa, so detour about an hour out of our way.
Got home about 7:30pm.
T'others had prepared salads for dinner.
LB cooked the tuna.
Plugged in Aps new wireless router so all can Internet now...
Then all (but Neil, to bed) play Uno till about 11:30pm...
Fun night...



22nd December

Laniakea.

Aps & I off to the supermarket...
Fish taco brunch.
Pack supplies and all off to Haleiwa to go out on Porter's tri-maran sailing all arvo.
Went a fair way out from the coast & fairly strong winds...
Then tacked back in to Waimea Bay & anchored.
Catherine & Aps sea sick so eventually swam to shore & got a lift home with one of the decky's, Diago who had parked there.
Swam & drank for a couple of hours then a pleasant sail home at sunset, docking by dark.
I stayed & helped tidy the boat then got a lift home w Tailor (Porter's girl).
Big BBQ for dinner joined by Porter, Chad & Tailor.
Fun night & day...



23rd December

Laniakea.

Lazy morning...
Swims & stuff.
All but Brooke & LB in to Haleiwa town for a look around.
Lunch at Rosie's Cantina.
Dave bought a MiniMau board...
Back home and all but LB & Brooke go for a swim & sun bake...
Then all but Neil up the end of the beach to see the green sea turtles... 3 asleep on the beach.
Back to the house & all off to the Turtle Bay Resort pool bar for a MaiTai & watch the sunset.
Neil's turn to cook w LB & I assisting... Chicken pesto pasta.
Watched a bit of tele then all but Aps & Kitty to bed...



24th December

Laniakea.

Up at 8:30am & Brooke + LB off to Kammies/Sunset for a surf.
Aps, Kitty, David & I off for a walk & swims along the beach to one of the TV show Lost sets...
Ran into a big turtle on the way back & got photo's...
Swims & stuff.
Start the cooking for our Xmas (Eve here) dinner... I on the roast vegetables & the stuffed turkey/Neil on the salad...
Everyone call Australia as Xmas day their today.
LB a massage.
Swims in the arvo...
6:pm Porter & Tailor round to join our Christmas dinner.
Porter carved the turkey.
Great dinner...
All to the beach with drinks as a full moon tonight.
Back for brownie desert...

A wake up swim.
Dag about until all but LB (run errands) off to Waimea Falls... Allowed to swim at the Falls so called LB & she joined us...
Great fun & lots of LB camera (as water proof) photo's...
Home for late veggie burger lunch.
All do naps, reading, emails, packing (N & C), etc...
LB an interview @ 4:pm.
Watched another episode of Deadwood.
A champagne toast to our Xmas holiday then all off to Haleiwa Jo's for farewell family dinner as Neil & Kitty home TM...
Lots of fishbowl MaiTai's later, home in search of Ben & Jerry's ice-cream but nogo at any of the Stores open...
Chad over for a visit.
Tried to play Uno but all a bit tipsy...

Catherine & Neil off home today...
So, all up earlyish and in to the van w Neil & Catherine's luggage & off to the airport...
Dave sick on the way so had to pull over.
Say goodbye to Neil & Catherine then off to shop...
First stop Alla Moanna... (David sleep in the car all day..).
Had lunch at Longhi's.
Next off to a Brookstone store, then to Waikele to take back a big dart board LB had intended giving me for Xmas...
Finally home & LB off for some surf filming for Phil Waller's film till dark...
Packing for all...
Aps & I cooked stirfry tofu/veggies for dinner...
LB & Brooke off to do errands & drop all the leftover food & stuff to Bernie...
Aps & I to bed round 10:pm.

28th December

Aps & I up @ 5:am as Aps on an 8:15am Jetstar flight so I drove her to Honolulu airport in the PT Cruiser...
Drop the PT back to Thrifty then wait 2 hours for the girls & Dave...
Easy check in with lots of luggage and board bags (ya gotta love Qantas..)..
Had breky in the food hall then on the plane & I got an upgrade (but LB didn't...).
Watched Ratatouille & some doco's... Slept a bit.



29th December

Got in @ 6:pm & Neil pick us up.
Quarantine and I declared my garden plant rootstock.
They promptly took it... Bugger...
Home & partial unpack.
Down to Angel for dinner.
Watched a couple of episodes of Deadwood then exhausted bed.



30th December

Up and off to the beach for a half work out & swim.
Unpacking, breky, etc.
Off to Hellingah Mall to complete the Beachley family Xmas shop.
Big food shop then home to wrap Xmas preso's.
Get ready & walk/run to Manly ferry..
ARIA dinner w Reynolds & friends at the kitchen table... Matt not in tonight but great fun & too much food/wine...
Rush to get the last ferry but cancelled so shared a cab with two English backpackers to Manly.
Walked the rest.
Collapse in to bed as 3:am Hawaii time...



31st December

New Years Eve.

Up & LB off for a surf at Curly.
10:am Tony blind guy round to install the upstairs blinds.
Walk to Manly for a midday lunch w the Beachley clan at Manly Wharf.
Home & a nap then tidy the house and prep food for the BBQ tonight.
Catherine & Neil round at 5:pm & Jason fam. an hour later.
Also Dave, Bron and the girls over.
On w the BBQ & not working properly but eventually got everything cooked...
Me a corker of a headache all day, so not so much fun.
Food good...
LB ferried all but Catherine, Dave & I to Manly to watch the fireworks, back home, then picked them all up again...
Pack their stuff & all head off round 10:pm...
Watched an episode of Deadwood then off to bed...
LB gave my back & neck a massage...



1st January

Up, finish cleaning up, and then LB & I do a half hour stretch to help my migrane...
LB off for a surf.
Remove the dinosaurs from the fish-pond that the kids threw in last night...
Leftovers lunch.
Some Deadwood...
LB a late surf but no good...
So, dusted off the bikes & road down as far as Manly surf Club so LB could check the banks for a surf tomorrow.

Up & off to Freshy for a run & swim.

11:am off to a BBQ at Chris Murphy's along w the Farriss boys and a few others.. TF travel w me...
A big Argentinean style BBQ lunch. Fun day.

Up & go through our 3 weeks of mail (LB collected it yesterday)...

Office stuff.
Mascot Bunnings for BBQ windbreak backing and hessian to tie the date palms up.
1:30pm eye test & new lenses (3rd go) to be put in my blue sunny's frames.

Added my stirfry on salad.
Watch cricket & slowly get ready for the beach.

Off to the farm at 3:30pm.
Get to the farm in less than 2 hours...
Unpack then straight in to making a new batch of pesto.

8:am Academic in with the TV cabinet (3rd time..) & Joe from InStyle over for TV Cab. fit out + fix intermittent ceiling speaker... nogo as it's the crossover... Also, the top on the TV cabinet didn't fit, so cabinet guy to return with one that fits... incredible..!!!
Do Tax Stuff.
Bunnings for tree limb saw & knee pads.
Woolies for stuff.
Got house key cut, mail, then home.
Take my bike to a Brooky bike shop to get a pump, stand & drink holder + take the broken ceiling speaker to the Brooky repair shop.
Fixed the speaker for nothing...
Home & put the speaker back in the lounge-room ceiling...

Midday Benny Muscular (pain) Therapy. Spaced out after it so had some lunch then a nap.

Fish shop for algae tablets for the pond.
Lunch at Candy's coffee house.

Home...

Quiet night backing up computers onto the new drive.



24th January

8-12:am office phone line connection but no show.
Band Conference call.
Lunch, pack & off to Cottage Point and Bin & Jimbo pick me up in Whyties tinny.
Off to meet the houseboat zigzagging it's way up Smith's Creek...
Aps meant to come but working today...
So, spritzer and then I took the wheel... Bloody nightmare to steer... Eventually got the hang of it & took them to the little Rainforesty beach (named Healing Falls beach Feb. 07 w M&V) w the pipe waterfall.
No mooring so went to the next one & moored. In to that beach for an hour then restock & off to the pretty beach for an hour or so. Back to the boat.
Minno decided were going to (crowded) Refuge for the night.
Made it okay and moored amongst the other 20 or so boats..
BBQ dinner & eventually all in bed by 10:30pm...



25th January

Crap sleep...
Get up, a swim, breky then Bin run me back to Cottage Point to drive home.
Errands on the way home.
Gardening and sawed off all the spikey bits on all the Palm Trees around the garden and prepped the outdoor shower site.
Andrew plumber round to check out my outdoor shower plan & set-up... all looks good.
Quiet night.



26th January

Gardening and fixed the garden bed border near the BBQ.
Tofu lunch then off to the Australia Day party at the Whyties...
Good fun & all the usuals there. Stayed for about 4 hours then home via dropping someone's Mum & Evie Hilliar + friend home in Roseville...

27th January

Clean up the garden.
Brooke's garage to drop off China long board & to photograph furniture we are getting rid of... The PP dining chairs are mouldy...
Harris Farm for supplies.
More gardening then watch the cricket.
Ricardo over at 2:pm.
Had a BBQ late lunch then down for a swim.
Watch the cricket & tennis & start to watch my Xmas pressie from Ricardo - Battlestar Galactica (the remake)...
Ricardo was going to stay but got an invite to a girlfriends place in Manly...
Gave him a nice bottle o' wine & sent him on his way...

LB Photo Shoot.
Dee Why for P.O., Bank and food shop for the farm
Brooke & Mum, Marcia over at 10:30am to sort final Contest stuff & hang till their evening flights...
LB & I off to the farm at 2:30pm.
Drop the Audi off to hospital (the Panel Beaters).
Pick up a new heater for the farm.
Bumper to bumper crap traffic at Campbelltown so didn't arrive till 6:pm.
Unpack, etc., then make a big wad of pesto.
Mickle over to p.u. his little red trailer.
LB still flu sicky so bed early...
Did washing & stuff.

Farm.

Fertilise limes & trim back the big lime tree.
LB sick but persevered weeding the lawn.
Cleaned out all the main house gutters.
Tofu salad for late lunch.
M&V over round 4:pm for cards...
Big yummy pesto stirfry for dinner...
M&V home round 8:30pm.



18 October

Farm.

Memorabilia for Hutch fan get together & store recent stuff.
Leftovers lunch.
Off to M&V's mid arvo for a double breathe.
Went for a drive down their trail to Billy Mac's plaque.
Early dinner as Vickle off to tennis at 7:pm.

Got away at 11:am.

20 October

Beach workout at Freshy.
House clean day.
LB sort out the board area of the garage w the new board-rack (from the contest).
Lots of washing today...
LB off to the Boardriders Assoc. meeting in Narrabeen to present an award then a late surf at Freshy.
Get ready and off to Jason Beachley's 40th b'day party at there house.
Good fun... Will & Josie there as well as Nathan & his brother. The Beachley clan. Great food.
Home about 10:30pm.



21 October

An email morning.
Walk to Manly Wharf pub for games of pool & lunch w Catherine & Neil.
Walk home & watch some more episodes of Deadwood. Addicted...
Jessi M-D around to take some bits & pieces of furniture off our hands.
LB & I drop a load of stuff at the storage garages.
Get ready then off and p.u. Aps from Karen's bloke, Mark's place and off to see Linkin Park at the Entertainment Centre.
Parked backstage & met by the Great Hugoski.
Jason (gtr. tech. that filled in for Lindz when his Mum was ill) gave us a guided tour of the stage.
Had some catering.
Up to the M&G to meet the band. Hung around after and did some photo's w Aps.
Ed & other BMGers there to present them w platinum's. Chatted for a while. Really nice people. Bam there too, so said hello & did some photo's as well.
Off to the Merchandise Stand for stuff for Aps.
A drink at the bar then watch the show from the mixing desk & the encore from side stage.
Tommy (our ex F.O.H.) assisting.

Went & said bye to Hugo & Jim and off home...

Beach workout at Freshy whilst Aps did laps in the tidal pool.
Midday Bali shop for Buddha (but deliver TM).
LB Scenar Therapy.

LB & I lunch w Nick & Fraze (LB's ex manager) @ Sandbar in Dee Why.
PO for mail then Dee Why Golf shop to measure LB & I up for clubs...
Home and relax, LB surf at Freshy.
Drop Aps up at Marks on the way to a Beachley Athletics dinner meeting at the Oaks.

Off to the city.
Coachouse to p.u. Maton acoustic w strap (for Streetworx performance tomorrow).

Home & lunch.
Empty & clean out the pond for the Buddha Fountain arrival.
4:30pm Builder around to run through final works to do to the house.
LB off to training w RRS.
6:pm Delivery of fountain Buddha but still need to do some more work on the pond.

Race to get ready then off & p.u. TF & Buff and off to the StreetWorx Charity Auction event.
LB drove us but crap traffic and crap Sat Nav directions but made it in time for a quick soundcheck before the event as TF & I performing By My Side with the house band. 13 assisted...
Fun nite and inspiring affair...
TF & my performance went over well...
Auction a bit flat as no high rollers...
Michael Campbell (golfer & patron), Layne & I the only ones who really bid...
I bought a ring (unseen) for LB & she bought a painting for me.
Off home about midnight & drop TF & Buff home.

Exchange anniversary gifts. LB gave me golf clubs (but not made yet) & lessons...
LB off for a surf at Freshy then work me out...
Drive to PP to park the car and off to our anniversary lunch at Salon Blanc.

Coachouse to record LB K-Mart Beachley Athletic voiceover ads.
Home in peak hour traffic...

LB off early to film & record Planet Ark adverts.
P.O. & Stupidmarket for me.
Walk to Manly Ferry to the city. TF catch same for a Band lunch meeting.
Coachouse to do some more K-Mart adds w LB.
Dinner at Thai Power in PP...
Off home & LB start packing.
Watched some StarTrek's then crashed round 10:pm.

LB finished packing.
Run to Freshy for a swim.
Load up the car and off to the airport for a 1:30pm flight to Peru (w a million stopovers) for LB.
P.U. new rugs on the way home.
Aps arrive for the night round 5:pm
I cooked a massive curry for dinner.



28 October

Daylight saving started today...
Washing day.
Drop Aps up to Mark's house.
Hardware for spirit level then a bit o' food shop.
Set the bricks in the pond for the Buddha Fountain.
Bit of gardening.
Relaxo day.
Aps arrive round 5:pm.
Last nights curry for din.
Watched the ARIA Awards... Good show.



29 October

Errands + P.O. to post LB's K-Mart voiceovers to David.
Minno electrician gang round to install new garden lights and other matters...
Drive Aps to a casting in the city then drop her stuff home.
Take Streetworx Auction painting to get frame fixed.
Home then back out to Cremorne to p.u. some of the transformers & lights the sparky's forgot...
Home & help out Minno w electricals the rest of the arvo.
Got the blokes to help place the stone Buddha in the pond.., but.. I severed the pump power cable when cutting back the conduit... whoops...
Minno coming back Wednesday to fix it & finish a couple of other things...
Down to the beach for a late swim/relax but conditions crap for a swim...

Mosman gym.
Took Farm Silver Candelabra to get fixed but not really worth doing.
Get NavMan updated w latest speed camera locations.
Drop off the Streetworx LB ring out whoop-whoop for resizing.
Drove home via Parramatta Road to look for cane furniture shops... A guy ran into the rear wheel (of LB's car..). Not bad though...
Home for a late lunch.
Off to the Manly Aquarium shop to get some pond fish, a pond net, a waterlily & pond care stuff.

31 October

Minno round lunchtime to finish off all the house electrical everything.
Fixed the pond pump & fixed up the path lights.
Smudge round to have a picnic lunch but Minno too busy & I was on a conference call for over an hour.
Smudge gave me a lift to p.u. Aps at The Mall & drop us off at Manly Wharf pub for a quick drink & meet Catherine then get the Ferry to Circular Quay for the Pink Carpet National Breast Cancer Foundation function at the Opera House w Powderfinger.
Pink Carpet - lots of photo's then to the V.I.P. area.
Barnes's, Dick Wilkins, Lisa Hensley, Glen McGrath, Fraze & Nick, etc., etc..
Aps off early to a Halloween Party w friends.
Fun night & Powderfinger sounded great...
Went up to the aftershow for a drink & then Kitty (Catherine) & I caught the ferry home along w Fraze.
Fraze dropped Kitty home in a cab & I stumbled home...
Switched on the new garden lights for the first time (in the dark)... look fantastic....!!!



The Mancora Peru Event started today & LB won her heat and straight thru to Round 3...

Continue the Sydney wide search for cane chair replacements for the farm.
Marrickville, Auburn, but no go...
Take Banjo Mandolin to Drum shop for a new skin, etc., but have to get a skin made + drop the whole mandolin off (which I didn't bring with me)... bugger.
Terrey Hills for cont'd search for cane chairs... Found some...
Home and off for a swim down at Freshy.
Emails and stuff.
Box finally arrived w my stage stuff from the U.S.

Runaround this morning.
Home & change cars then go p.u. Aps and take her to a casting in Surrey Hills.
Drop banjo-mandolin off in Surrey Hills to get fixed.
Lunch at Long Grain w Aps.
Take Aps & her non-functioning computer to where we bought it to sort out wireless. Still warranty but eventually worked it out and fixed it.
Drop Aps home.
Farm food shop and other farm related errands.

Up and straight in to painting the tables...
Aps help dead head the roses.
M&V round @ 11:30amish.
Mickle give Aps a massage.
Vickle & I cook lunch.
Another coat of paint on the tables.
On the bikes & Aps on Casper & off for a picnic up at Gorilla Rock.
Head back & on the way stop at the shed to p.u. the New Orleans Guitar Player painting that Hutch gave me...
Mickle, Aps & I go on a quick expedition for taddy's but still to early...
M&V leave round 4:30pm.
Aps shower while I do the final coat on the 2 tables.
Rearranged the front verandah cause of the new cane chairs... Looks fabo...
Quiet late arvo & evening w leftovers for dinner...



Mancora Pro - surfed the rest of the event & LB thru to the finals against Steph... Was winning till the last 20secs when Steph caught a winner... bugger...

Put the re-painted Australia table & back verandah table back in their spots.

Clean up the house & back to Sydney round midday.
Drop Aps home then straight home.

Off to Randwick Races for Melbourne Cup Day w Ricardo. Fun day but won nothing...

Shocking hangover...
LB home from Peru @ 8:30am... Slow getting thru as Yellow Fever check... & slow getting there w heavy traffic.
Home & pesto eggs.
LB semi unpack then both had an hour & a half nap.
My anniversary golf clubs finally arrived today.
LB's Accountant round @ 3:pm then LB off to Scenar Therapy.
Tofu Salad for dinner & a couple of episodes of Deadwood then bed.

12:30pm Band Meeting at my house till 4:pm.
M&V arrived round 4:30pm as up for the night
Builder around to look at laundry awning leakage...
LB brought home pizza from Ironbark for dinner.
Watched the final Series 1 episode of Deadwood.

Syd/Adelaide.

LB to Hawaii tonight (for the rest of the year...).
M&V cook yum omelettes for breky then head home.
Go look at Coco on Botany Road on the way to the airport & buy 3 stools.
LB dropped me off for a 1:05pm flight to Adelaide (then off to Sylvania for a haircut, then home to finish packing. Neil & Catherine drop her to the airport for her Hawaii flight).
Over an hour wait for Anna to get off work & pick me up from Adelaide airport and off to her and (brother) Drew's house for the night.
Drew & I to the bottlo' & Stupidmarket for supplies.
Anna cooked a yum Lamb Shank casserole for dinner.

Set up my old iMac for D & A that I brought over from Sydney... Transferred all their files off their PC and all worked fine... Yay...
Drew & I off for a pedicure & some fish & chips.
Home & watch a bit of cricket till Anna home.
Get ready & off to the Queens Arms for Matty's b'day dinner w Mel, Adam & the boys cousin, Tara.
Fun night except some crim. hassled us that Adam knows...

Off to Mum's to go through her paperwork w Drew and her.
11:am Yum Cha lunch w Mum, Drew & Anna and a bunch of their friends. Great food.
Over the road for coffee & gelato.
A quick food shop for Mum at Coles.
Back to Mum's to drop her & I off as I'm staying w her tonight.
D & A off to the beach.
Go through piles of Mum's old paperwork...
Cooked some tofu & salad for our dinner.

Adelaide/Syd.

Up & lotsa phone calls to sort out Mum's affairs.
Pack and off to Mum's bank with her to sort some things out.
Put Mum in a cab home then off to the airport for a 12:15pm flight home.
Had some brunch @ Billy Chu's then to the Qantas Club to check emails.
Got home at 3:30pm...
Unpack.

Bury the garden light cables... what a job...
Didn't quite finish as hot, so off for a swim then shave & get ready for errands, etc.
3:pm First golf lesson w Duane at Narrabeen. Good fun... Got a few balls away..!!
Home for quick early dinner & get ready.
Walk to the ferry and off to Circular Quay then to Luna Park to go to a 6:30pm Function to open their new bar & venue.
Caught up w Gary Grant.
Home round midnight.



15 November

Syd/Farm.

Up late (9:am)...
Watched the first event of the Hawaiian Triple Crown- the WQS Reef Hawaiian Pro... Layne came 2nd to Megan Abubo...
Finished burying the garden lights wiring. YES!!!
Off for a swim.
Cooked up a late lunch mango chicken curry.
Finally got away at about 3:15pm...
Really crap, crap, crap traffic from the city to pretty much Picton exit..
Stopped for fuel.
3 hours later... Got to the farm.
Today's lunch for dinner...

9:am Landscaper round w the stone mason Gary to map out the new garden beds...
Went and sacked up some soil for the garden at home.
Finally caught some tadpoles for the pond...
Tidy up & off back to Sydney at midday.
Traffic crap from King George's so went the old non-freeway roads...
Picture Framers to p.u. the repaired Streetworx Auction painting...
Hardware store, Post Office, etc..
Golf shop for air balls & tees...
Finally home at 4:pm...
Potter round the garden.
Put the tadpoles in a bucket until they get bigger for the pond.

17 November

Walk to Freshy shops for supplies. Cooked up a big breko.
Planned to go hit 50 balls then cruise up to the Terrey Hills Nursery's for chips & plants but., Minno, Smudge & Bin dropped around.
Strapped up the collapsing Date Palms finally (hopefully..).
Filled in the new walkway bridge w the soil I brought back from the farm.
Watched Golf on TV... I've changed....



18 November

Sort some band stuff out.
DeeWhy gym.
Home to change, then Narrabeen driving range to hit 50 balls.
Nursery for wood chips for the garden.
Home & stirfry beef for late lunch.
Gardening... Vacuum leaves, tidy up everywhere then finish off the walkway bridge with wood chips.. Looks great.
Down to Freshy for a swim then a relaxo evening..

Off to the Coachouse to clean & vacuum + find Pod XT computer cable... Couldn't find it so have to go buy one.

7:30am drop the Audi to service to get the mirror fixed.
Courtesy car home then walk back an hour later to pick it up...
Home for 10:am Band Conference call...
Cutback the jasmine vine off the carport poles.
Worked out how many plants I want to buy...

P.O. to send Mum's 80th birthday party photo's to Drew.
Fix up the grapevine.

(10th Anniversary of MH's earthly parting)
Mosman Body Combat & a quick food shop.
Home for egg brek w Aps.
Drop Aps home then out to Palmland... Most of the plants I wanted get too big...bugger... So, a re-plan.
Go to some bathroom shops w photo's to try match our towel rails for another one.
3:pm look at Factory's to potentially set up the Studio.
Home & start to clean the house...
Had a quiet drink and thoughts for Hutch...

Drop INXS stuff to Hotel in Potts Point.
10:30am hairscut w Elvira.
Race home for Midday Band Meeting at my house.

Federal Election.
St.Leo gym but got there too late for the BodyCombat class so cross train then off and do errands, Federal election vote, then home.
Fish-mash lunch.
Went through LB's mail w her (in Hawaii), 1st on iChat (but crap bandwidth) then the phone.
Get ready & walk to Manly to ferry to Circ. Quay where Toughy picked me up to attend the INXS Fan get together (organised by Lesley & Meesh) at the Star Bar. (In memory of Hutch).
Good fun and great people...

1:30pm off to the Francis's to go play my first game of golf with them at Cromer Course....
Played the back 9 and went okay... Putting was okay too but lost my swing halfway through... Oy-vay what a challenge...
A drink at the 19th then home via pick up the mail.

Gardeners round today & a big 3 hr. clean up...
Band Conference call meeting with Martha.
Cooked a Thai Curry for lunch (and the next few days...).
Palmland to buy 10 plants.
Runaround doing errands until a 3:pm Golf Lesson (3).

Tradesperson meant to show up at 5:pm... no show...

1:pm Band Meeting w accountants until 5:pm...
GB stay at mine & got a lift home w Ben...
GB borrow the Audi to go have dinner w his Mum...
Back around 8:30pm so had some wine and chats till 11:pm...

Up & off to St.Leo Body Combat... Drop GB at St. Leonards train station on the way... GB running around today.
Home for brunch.
Not much but domestics today.
GB staying the night again but got home after I had gone to bed.



5 December

GB off early.
Builders working on the carport.
10:30am off to do a lengthy Interview w Mark Gable at Vega.
Knock off some errands.
Home for lefto' lunch.
GB eventually get back & pack, then both off to a Band Meeting at AF's Newport house.
Home round 5:30pm via drop TF & GB off in Manly.
M&V up for the night.
JF over to mine for half hour to say g'day to M&V.
7:30pm Band get together @ Garfish as GB back to LA tomorrow.
Garfish too noisy so went to the Phoenix but noisy as well... Still ate there then went back to the quiet Manly Pacific Bar (GB stay there 2nite).
Walked home but M&V picked me up along the way.

Ran in to the Harrold's at Pheasant's Nest, the halfway petrol station...
Convoy to the farm.
Prawns & oysters for dinner once Sam & Germ arrived...
First to bed was me round 11:pm... (way past my bedtime).

Do a circuit of the farm stopping at Polehouse & the swim hole.

Down to the swimming hole for a swim for all...
Boys rebuilt the Bonydoon dam wall in the swimming hole.
Back for leftovers then packup.
Left at 1:30pm.
Drop Aps home.
Home & a big storm hit...
Do emails...
Quiety.



10 December

7:30am TV cabinet guys in for attempt no. 2 but stuffed up the drawer height again...
Builders round to work on the carport, etc.
Chores round the house.
Quick food shop and home for lunch.
P.U. Aps & drop her in to the city for a casting.
Coachouse to p.u. some stuff.
Pick Aps back up & home.
Tofu stirfry dinner & teev for the evening.
Went to bed, Aps stay up...



11 December

Builders finished the carport & cover to the Pagoda...
Drop Aps to the ferry for a job then drop Aps stuff to Karen @ Mark's, then P.O., then home.
LB's old neighbours, the Francis's around to show them through the house as they are staying over whilst we are in Hawaii.
Runaround erranding.
Started packing...
Fertilised the new plants.
Started cleaning & washing.
6:pm cab to Minno's b'day dinner at their house.



12 December

Syd/Honolulu/Napili - Maui.

Deal w emails w AF...
Clean the house.
Wash car.
Pet shop for pond algae tablets.
Get the mail.
Washing & Tidy the house for the Francis's.
Finish packing.
Late Tuna lunch.
5:pm Cab to the airport.
Easy check in.
Off to the 1st Class lounge for some yummy fresh cooked food & phone calls.
Off at 8:pm....
Slept about 4-5 hours...
Land in Honolulu & got sent to the wrong terminals a couple of times...ggrrrr...
Eventually on the a little plane for the half hour flight to Kapalua, Maui.
LB there to meet me...
Off to Napili Village & settle in.
LB cook veggie burger for lunch then have a nap.
Up & off to Lahaina w the girls (Catherine & Ashleigh) for a bit of a look around.
Ran in to Brooke & Marcia so went had a cocktail...
A food shop at Safeway then home.
LB cook a chicken salad then beds around 10:pm.
