Braced for Worst
Not a believer in Indians' fever
Now, I'm hip that success is sometimes hard to quantify. There's no denying, though, that as long as I keep having to buy these MTA daily bus passes, my shit ain't really all that spectacular.
Major League Baseball's post-season begins next week, and here come the
Cleveland Indians. They are tied with the Boston Red Sox for the American
League's best record, which assures home-field advantage for as long as
the Tribe continues to play.
So why am I not yet calling to reserve the Jaguar that's been on my mind for so long?
The New York Yankees, that's why.
New York has been lights out since the All-Star break, eclipsing a horrid first half. The Yankees have won 15 of their last 20 games. They hit like rogue cops on a bender. And Roger Clemens is rehabbing in preparation for the playoffs.
