Natalie Nude!

By Caroline Stanley/Gen Art Pulse

Wes Anderson's tantalizing short

In the interest of full disclosure, we were ridiculously excited when the invite to a screening of Wes Anderson's latest, The Darjeeling Limited, arrived in our inbox. And that was before we even knew about Hotel Chevalier, the 13-minute companion piece to the film that stars Natalie Portman and Jason Schwartzman as former lovers.

Anderson shot Chevalier in 2005, around the same time he started working on the Darjeeling screenplay, but this gorgeously crafted piece of short fiction easily stands on its own. An impeccable wardrobe courtesy of Marc Jacobs, carefully curated soundtrack (which is no small feat for a 13-minute flick), and dry but sparse dialogue create a rich little universe within the bounds of a tiny (albeit achingly beautiful) Parisian hotel room. And then there's the fact that Natalie stars in her first nude love scene. Yeah.
