Brooklyn Loves You

This video features some of the 40,000 NYC marathoners who packed the streets of my neighborhood as they ran through. From my spot in the crowd of wildly enthusiastic spectators, I heard a salsa band on the left, and saw hundreds of volunteers to the right handing out cups of water and orange slices. The marathon is a wonder and a joy to see. For real.

Wait! Not So Fast

After a major public outcry at the first set of proposed regulations for people with hand-held cameras, the NYC Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre, and Broadcasting (MOFTB) issued a second version of proposed regulations this week. If you're not a lawyer and you read the document closely, you'll pause to wonder a lot. That's what I've done the last few days, so I made this video, "Wait! Not So Fast." There will be a public hearing about the regulations on December 13, but, in the meantime, the office welcomes comments at message@film.nyc.gov.
