Inspired by Maxfield Parrish, M.C. Escher and Salvadore Dali, Carlo D' Alessio began painting at a young age. By the time he was 12 years old, he had a considerable portfolio and was accepted into New York's High School of Music and Art. From there his career as an artist took off when he became the art production manager at Bloomingdales in Manhattan and created numerous pieces all in his surreal and almost magical style of painting. Carlo's technique is the combination and then re-application of acrylic paint and varnish, which adds a three-dimensional effect to his paintings. He uses a blend of airbrush and paintbrush that adds the ideal finishing touches to his paintings.
