While Bill Sanchez was growing up in New York, he began to draw. He was inspired to draw by what he saw in his daily life; a building that he passed, a person he saw on the street or something he read about in a book. After attending art school after art school to perfect his craft, he ended up at the Academy of Art first as a student and then as a teacher. Bill Sanchez has taught art at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco for 31 years. He is a friend to all of his students and he keeps in touch with them long after they leave his classroom.
