Star jumped in Betty's truck on Christmas Eve

Description:
Betty Wager- Pet Care Advisor and KOF (Keeper of the Faith)

Surrounded by animals and pets from her earliest days, Betty’s pet passion is instinctive and unalterable. Everyday was a challenge growing up on a farm in Massachusetts where her family raised and trained thoroughbred race horses as well as built stock cars that her adventurous mother raced.

Adulthood brought urban relocation and many years in business administration, including time in the medical industry. Betty finally reconnected to her roots in 1994 initially training at a pet boarding facility until she founded her Tailwaggers Pet Sitting Service. Her professional practice focuses on providing nurturing care and attention to pets and animals in the comfort of their home surroundings.

Over the years, Betty has built a loyal following of human clients who trust her, while they are away, to be the consummate care-giver to their beloved pets.

About the photo:
Still grieving over the loss of her Shepherd-wolf, who had died of cancer just three days earlier, Betty headed out to care for pets when she spotted a wet and shivering Lab-mix by the side of a remote country road in Central Texas.

As Betty is apt to do, she stopped, got out, and started towards the young dog expecting it to run off. Instead, this not-to-be-denied canine ran past Betty and jumped into her truck.

It was Christmas Eve and there was no place open to take a collarless dog except back to Betty's home where a gang of four cats where in charge. By the end of the three day Holiday, this endearing young 2-year old pup had won over even the felines.

There is no question Betty's just departed best friend of 11 years had sent this new canine to take his place. Betty was guided down that lonely stretch of road for a reason and it was an easy decision to name this new family member (Bethlehem)Star.
