And Celebrates Life Today

Description:
JC Caylor with wife KIm and their best friend Trouble

After 4 years in the Army, school and business opportunities brought him eventually to Texas and a career in national retail management, marketing and sales promotion.

In March 2000 Kim, JC’s life partner and wife of twenty-seven years, suffered the first of three massive strokes. After her first stroke, they adopted a black short-haired cat named Smokey. She immediately took to Kim and would nudge her paralyzed right arm and hand as if to say..."come on, you can move it”.

Through a Christmas 2000 second stroke and two more years, Smokey continued to nurture Kim’s slow rehabilitation. Unfortunately, on Easter weekend of 2003, Kim had her third stroke and all of her progress for recovery was wiped away.

The following Christmas eve, JC brought home a 10 week old miniature Schnauzer they named Trouble; because trouble was the one word that Kim has been able to hold onto, and say clearly. Trouble has never left Kim's side since that first day and has taken over for Smokey as loving companion and therapeutic healer, realizing over 4 years of stroke-free health.

JC also supports several health care organizations through his generous philanthropic and sponsorship efforts.

"We owe a lot to the men and women who have served and died for our country. How we choose to live our lives, can be a small tribute given back to them for their sacrifices." JC Caylor
