Dec 14th - Delivered 354 books, Lackland Air Force

Description:
About my visit: "I was honored to be invited to the 59th Medical Wing Deployers' Picnic to thank all those Airmen (men and wowen) leaving for Iraq right after the Holidays.

They were all so young - most everyone was under 35 years old, with their entire life before them, yet they had committed to go into harm's way to save the injured and dying. They were about to see the worst of war's nightmare in a very dangerous place and some were returning for a second tour. Each hero received a signed copy of my book and then the majority of copies went to wounded veterans in the hospital facility.

I felt incredibly proud to be an American who was being protected by such a wonderful, dedicated team. Skin color, religious beliefs, and regional background was clearly secondary to the greater cause of service to the United States."
Bob Harvey
