AnimationMentor.com, founded in 2004, was the first online animation school of its kind in the United States. Bobby Beck, Co-founder and CEO, left his job at Pixar Animation Studios to start the school with two fellow animators and Co-founders, Shawn Kelly from Industrial Light & Magic and Carlos Baena from Pixar Animation Studios.

The online school connects students from around the world with "mentors" from the industry's top animation studios, such as DreamWorks, Industrial Light & Magic, Disney/Pixar, and Rhythm & Hues and creates a dynamic, hands-on learning experience that prepares students for the real world challenges of working on feature films and game titles.
