Kerry Washington Chooses Platinum Look

Kerry Washington, one of the most exciting stars in Hollywood, was in sparkling form last week at the latest major awards ceremony in the US.

The actress, who played Ray Charles' wife in the 2004 movie Ray, chose an eye-catching platinum ensemble for her night out at the 38th Annual Image Awards for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

Washington's platinum jewelry, designed by Neil Lane, was worth an estimated $1 million and it perfectly complemented her stylish outfit. A large diamond and darkened platinum necklace was the centrepiece for the occasion, but the talented actress decided to balance this bold choice with a delicate pair of stud earrings.

Washington was not the only American star to choose platinum for the NAACP event. Regina Taylor, the celebrated actress and playwright, opted for a number of stunning diamond and platinum bracelets as well as large diamond and platinum multi-circle earrings.

The breathtaking ensemble, designed by Neil Lane, was finished off with a diamond and onyx ring.
