People Are a Trip: Jihae, Example #45

Description:

Jihae answers my question, “What does god look like?", with eloquent sass. She's a singer-songwriter, and plays two roles in her video Black Pearl: a foxy blond hairdresser guy and a very mysterious lady. Somehow, they kiss each other (among other intimate play). Her collection of songs, My Heart is an Elephant features Nina Simone's Do I Move You. Well, yeah Jihae, you do. And Spin is a simple one-take music video--where I'm behind the camera.

People are a Trip is a video series shot with a crew of one (me!) in New York City. I do spontaneous interviews with people on the street and with influential underground musicians. They answer my blunt questions with the truth of the moment. They are hilarious. No, poetic. Well, maybe quite philosophical.
