Iya Kahn

Description:
This is Iya Kahn at the Palms in Las Vegas, taken with a borrowed camera back in 2004 because I couldn't afford my own.

I'm placing this in the action category.  It's soulful in a way I think a lot of people have forgotten about.  It harbors the heartbreaking tones and beaten words that spill from the lips of blues singers and the explosion of anger when they get down to the grit of it all...I don't think the blues are dead just yet.

it really captures the moment it was taken, i find myself freezing when i look at the photo, as i'm waiting for him to sing the next line, strange but true....

keep up the good work babe... and dont forget the little people when you make it big.....

To quoth George Carlin, "It's not enough to know how to play the blues. You need to know why those notes need to be played."

This pictures embodies all that is the blues.

I always love performance shots like this. Especially when it's a shot of a singer in the middle of doing their thing. You can almost feel the song without ever even hearing it.
