The beauty forecast on the runways this Spring called for a natural, toned down look befitting the easy, breezy attitude of the season. But don’t ditch those wintry weather makeup trends yet. They’ve been totally reinvented for Spring – and how refreshing is that?

LUMINOUS SKIN

According to renowned celebrity makeup artist, B.J. Gillian, if one message came across loud and clear on the runways this spring, it’s to leave the spray-on tan at home. Spring is all about translucent, demi-matte applications using products like SK-II’s AirTouch Foundation. The effect is skin that is neither dewy nor matte – just wonderfully natural. THE NEW SMOKY EYE

This beauty stand-by has been updated to be completely accessible for Spring. Instead of dark, intense shadows, try metallics like pewter, bronze and gold, or soft, blush-based colors. PINK LIPS

Red lips were hot this past Fall, but they’re being translated and softened into vibrant pinks and corals for Spring.
