All of us develop attachments to objects that are symbolic of memories and important aspects of our lives. I am interested in the symbolism and interpretations different people attach to objects. These photographs focus on objects I have encountered or collected and have embodied my spirit from childhood to the present-day. My memories, experiences, and interpretations on life encapsulate these objects that I feel a strong connection with. I find inspiration in the fragmented memories and different gender roles that I related to as a child. I developed a great affinity for the ocean having spent my youth in Southern California. My strong connection with nature continued to grow when I moved to Georgia spending most of my spare time in the wilderness. I am very intrigued by the cycles of nature and the remnants that it leaves behind. Through my photography I like to reveal the mysteries, curiosities, and unusual peculiarities of life.
