Spring Fashion Forecast: DRESSES!

Description:
DRESSES - LIKE SPRING FLOWERS - ARE POPPING UP ALL OVER THE PLACE
by Maureen, California Style for Fashiontribes.com

2006 may have been a great year, but it’s so last year. Spring into the new year with the hottest trends for spring 2007. Anooshka Zakarian, owner of hot Los Angeles boutique, Rumor, will be stocking the boutique with lots of metallics, shorts, skirts, vibrant colors and patterns and of course beautiful dresses by Voom, Tracey Reese, Plenty and Grey Ant! Be it a tank, a fitted silhouette, empire waist or vintage-inspired, this season’s dresses flatter any body type and personality. Whether you’re heading out for a quick lunch at The Ivy in Beverly Hills, a casual walk on the beach in Maui or partying at the hottest clubs in New York, boutiques and department stores will have a lot to choose from.

Ff_dresses_copy In particular, keep an eye out for designer Rami Kashou. A native of Jerusalem, he grew up with an eclectic and fashionable mother who was often asked by the local town socialites to design their ensembles. With a background of retail, buying and merchandising experience, Rami launched his own line in 2000 and has draped the silhouettes of celebrities and trendsetters such as Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Lopez, Portia De Rossi, Fergie, Amy Smart, Lucy Lui, Melanie Brown, Erikah Badu, Tracee Ellis Ross and Shiva Rose. His designs have appeared in magazines like Flaunt, In Style, Angelino, Interview, People and Us Weekly. Rami was also asked to design the costumes for the March 2005 America’s Next Top Model ad campaign which graced billboards across the nation.

Ff_dresses_copy_1 Following a stunning Fall 2006 collection of sexy, yet sophisticated looks, his Spring 2007 collection of edgy femininity will probably turn even more heads with its hip take on the 1950s. Rami focused on the bustier shape, incorporating it a a variety of more casual cocktail silhouettes and separates such as a bustier tank top, a cocktail skirt with a corset built in, and dresses & vests that look as good with jeans as with more formal separates. It’s a very sweet yet flirty collection that would make any woman look and feel beautiful this spring.

Rami Kashou is available at RamiKashou.com, BleuClothing.com, ShopMava.com, & ManEaterThreads.com.
