                          Way of Tiemeshu

                          In 1185, the Minamoto family took over the control over Japan after defeating the Taira clan in the Gempei war. The new feudal government was organized in a simpler way than the one in Kyoto and has required a much simpler way of life.

                          This is when Shogun named                           Minamoto Yoritomo introduced "Way of Tiemeshu".
                          At first there was a huge disapproval of such way. But after few years it slowly started to become the way of life.

                          One of the main characteristics of "Tiemeshu" is the unique type of shoes required during everyday activities.
