New York City Fashion Week is here!
 
The hottest designers, trendsetters, and fashionistas have converged upon the city to glimpse the unveiling of fall’s newest fashion lines and take a sneak peak at the latest trends emerging in the fashion industry. “MOLI arts & entertainment contributing editor Wendy Case first tipped me to writer Charles Bock back in the fall. She said his first novel was being published by Random House in January, and she’d be doing an interview. Wendy knew Charles because he’s a fan of her great band the Paybacks. I figured I’m a fan of any fan of Wendy’s.
 
Wendy hooked up that interview for The View. She caught up with Charles as he’s on the cusp of his Big Moment: Review in Entertainment Weekly, feature story in The New York Times Magazine (check out the picture; he’s wearing a Paybacks Tee), etc.. He talked about the decade-plus that it took Beautiful Children to get born. Risk-taking new artist, edgey subject, solid prose – sounded like a perfect choice for the MOLI Book Club’s Book of the Month. I’ve started reading Beautiful Children and am already sucked into its story of comic-books fans, suburban parents, and gaming nerds. Tell us what you think of it.”
