Well...I have made statues and also draw and paint. I wanted to learn from established artist's rather than school's, which I felt were limiting. But every artist I met who I felt I could learn from wanted my ass instead of my attention. Usual story. I moved to London and worked as a nude hostess, stripper and cinema usher, all the while furthering my craft on my own. I'm starving for headspace...for a neural whiteout where I can concentrate only on art for a substantial period of time without resorting to humanity and it's foibles. My starving story is a proud one and I could give a fuck for pity. Artist's should be respected for their resolve. This competition is a noble gesture. And this is my two cents.

I like the picture at the bottom. I like the combination of mechanic and organic elements. The choice subject matter, color palette and use of textures both visual and real give it a rough and urban look to it.

I enjoy all your work and hope a neural whiteout hits you soon as we could certainly use more of your art on moli. BTW, I cannot take my eyes off of the caged owl in your sketch...quite haunting. Cheers and good luck Carmen.
