I just got back from a few great days in San Fransisco with Tod. Flew out Sunday evening and met up with him and the rest of the INXS crew already in town. Had a lovely dinner at the hotel restaurant! Monday was show day, and while Tod set up I walked around Union Square. Most of the shops are fancy places I would never step foot in, but I just had to peak in Tiffany's! ha! Ended up with some hot new shoes from Guess.. leapard print, baby! Monday night was the INXS show, which was a private concert at a convention. It was a blast! My girl Marlina came and we had so much fun dancing up front and messing with the guys during the show, ha! At one point JD spotted me and waved hello, and next thing I know all the girls around me are gushing and jealous, asking if im his date! I guess I still look like a groupie, ha! After the show it was a sad goodbye to the band, as they left immediatly for Hong Kong. We're not sure when we'll see them again, but its been a fantastic two years for me and Tod working with them. Jon nearly cried and Kirk had great things to say when he took me for one last drink. Such a great group of guys and an amazing band to work with. Im so appreciative of all my opportunites over the last 2 years! Im gonna miss those guys, and I hope we get to work with them in the future! Tuesday Tod and I slept in and then went for lunch and a cable car ride down to Fishermans Warf. It was such a beautiful day and im so glad we got to do some site seeing! We walked all over from the warf to Pier 39 with all the Sea Lions! Had drinks over looking the water, did some shopping, enjoyed the gorgeous weather and the time together. It was a perfect day! Ended our evening at a great little cafe near the hotel with the most yummy drinks.. I had a Raspberry Mojito, while Tod enjoyed a Pomigranite Margarita! Yum! Now its back to LA for me, and back to the Madlife tour for Tod. Im so glad I got to see him during his touring this month. What a perfect trip! Click the link below to check out some photos! July started off with quite the bang! First it was off to Las Vegas for Tamar's bachellorette party. Vegas, baby.. can't beat that! Good food, good gambling, good shopping.. fun fun! Next it was off to NY & CT to visit Tod.. finally! He had been in Europe for 5 weeks and I couldnt wait to see him again! We got to spend 4 days at Foxwoods Casino, in CT.. just about 2 hours outside NYC. I also got to visit my family in upstate NY. It was a great trip! Then right after that it was off to Florida to visit MOLI.. woo hoo! I finally got to see the MOLI headquarters! And let me tell you, it was HOT! No, I mean, really hot.... like 100 degrees and 100 percent humidity! lol Had a great time with my girls Jen & Dawn, and it was wonderful meeting everyone at MOLI! This weekend its off to Camarillo for Tamars wedding saturday night, then Santa Barbara sunday for a nice day with Tod relaxing and shopping! Can't ask for a better weekend! Who knows whats next!
Jenn & Me in CT.
Jon, Me & Tod in CT.
So I spent this past weekend at the Morongo Casino near Palm Springs with Tod for an INXS show. The weekend started off Friday night when we arrived at the casino. Made it just in time for a few drinks with the band and to do some gambling.. ofcourse I lost! Saturday I enjoyed a morning at the nearby outlet mall, while Tod worked, hehe. And spent the rest of the afternoon laying out by the pool, while Tod worked, hehe. Don't worry Tod, I thought about you the entire time! lol Saturday evening was the INXS show and I was granted an all night photo pass, which was great! Got to run around the venue and shoot like crazy! The guys put on a great show as usual and it was great seeing them again! After the show I had a little surprise planned for Tod for his birthday, which is next week when he's in Australia.. since I won't be able to celebrate with him. Our friend Bobby with Chop Shop Drums made two custom drum stick bags for Jon which came out great.. and he came to the show to present Jon with one of the bags. Well, little did Tod know that I had Bobby make HIM a custom bag for his birthday as well! So at the end of the night we got to surprise Jon and Tod with custom Chop Shop Drums stick bags.. and they loved them! And for an added touch, I personalized a drum key for Tod as well with his name engraved on it! The gifts were a hit! Happy Birthday Tod! After the show Tod had to take off with the crew up to the next show.. so I met up with my friends from Chop Shop and had some drinks and did some gambling... and ofcourse, I lost, lol. Then Sunday it was back home to LA! All in all, had a nice time in Palm Springs and i'd definitely go back to Morongo! So Monday Tod got to spend one last day at home before he took for Australia... again! Last night it was back to the airport for his flight.. and we just happened to run into the band checking in, just as I was saying goodbye to Tod. So I got about 7 extra hugs before I left which was quite nice! Those guys rock! Here's a picture of Tod and Jon with Bobby and Brian of Chop Shop Drums - showing off their new custom made drum stick bags!Click here to check out my INXS photos from Saturday night! http://www.sherryglobman.com/inxs.html
I don't even know where to start to sum up my week in Sydney wtih Tod - amazing, perfect, fun, adventerous, crazy, beautiful - you get the point! I arrived last Wednesday evening and Tod was waiting for me at the airport with a Sponge Bob balloon - what else, ofcourse! We spent that evening in recovering from our day of travel, since he had just flown in from New Zealand and I had just gotten off a 14 hour flight!

Thursday we ran around sight seeing like crazy, cheesy tourists.. and it was great! Saw the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, The Rocks, Darling Harbour, Newton.. lots of walking, a few fun train rides, some great food, great shops.. so much fun! Went for a late dinner in Darling Harbour and ended up at the same restaurant we ate at new years eve! After that, we found an awesome irish pub called PJ Obriens.. and i think i found the only bartender in Sydney who could make a margarita! Friday was another day of seeing the beautiful sights of Sydney. We did Wildlife World in Darling Harbour, which is like a mini-zoo.. but I got to see my Koalas and Kangaroos! Then we took the ferry from Darling Harbour to Circular Quay which was just beautiful - the ride took us across the harbour to Luna Park and under the Harbour Bridge.. right up to the Opera House! After that we took a train ride outside the city to Harley Davidson Sydney so Tod could drool over bikes and i could buy cute Harley gear, hehe. That night we hit up a few bars near the hotel, but ended up in Kings Cross for some pizza and clubs.. can't beat that!
Saturday Tod had to work for a few hours setting up for INXS to play the NRL game.. so I was on my own. I headed out with my camera and got some beautiful shots in Hyde Park. Then it was onto Darlinghurst for some shopping, ofcourse! Oxford st has the best shops in Sydney - Wheels and Doll Baby, Route 66 and House of Fetish. Its like a little Greenwich Village! And Saturday night we went to "Back in the Day" at the Marquee club. It was so much fun!! Thanks so much to Dean for hooking us up! We felt like little Hollywood celebrities there! Its an 80's rock night with live bands and an awesome DJ.. and everyone is dressed up in band shirts! LA Guns, Poison, Judas Priest, Motley Crue.. it was so cool! We were definitely in our element! Definitely check out Back in the Day - its in Melbourne and Sydney a few times a month. For the last day Sunday I spent a wonderful afternoon sipping champange with Kerri (Jon's wife) and her friends while the INXS boys opened the NRL show. We got a private room on top of the Intercontinental hotel so we could watch the show on a big screen TV. And we spent most of the afternoon out on the balcony admiring the gorgeous view of Sydney! After the show, Tod, Jon and some of the guys met up with us at the hotel and we had a blast! I lost count of the bottles of champagne we all drank and it was so much fun! And im not saying this just cause Tod works with them.. the INXS guys really are awesome.. so nice and down to earth.. the band, the crew, the friends.. they all feel like family and I appreciate feeling so welcome! I feel like we have made friends for life and its so nice. Thanks for everything! All in all, a wonderful trip! I feel so honored to be able to visit Australia again.. and I have a feeling it isn't the last time! And thanks so much to Tod for an amazing week together.. it was absolutely perfect! :)
I just returned from an amazing weekend visiting Tod in the mid-west. I NEVER thought i'd be in Milwaukee and Indianapolis! ha! But it was absolutely amazing! cool cities! Friday night I arrived in Milwaukee just before sunset and took advantage by walking around the river and taking a few photos. Spent Saturday doing a little shopping while Tod worked to set up for the show. Scored some cool beer logo t-shirts and yummy cheese.. what else can you buy in Milwaukee?! haha! The INXS show saturday night was great! I was the only event photographer and pretty much had free reign to shoot the whole show.. got some good stuff!

Saturday night we traveled to Indianapolis.. and Tod, i dunno how you do it every night and get sleep.. that damn bus kept moving! lol Woke up Sunday in Indianapolis.. crawled into bed at the hotel.. and pretty much remained there all day.. it was perfect! Had a wonderful anniversary/birthday dinner Sunday night at Bucca Di Beppo.. mmmmm good food!

Monday Tod got up to work and I slept in for the day.. then enjoyed some shopping and a manicure at the Circle Centre mall in Indianapolis. Got ready for the show and I was off again to see INXS! And once again, great show!

And after getting to bed at 2am I woke up at 5am for the airport this morning.. so needless to say im a bit exhausted today! But definitely worth it! I needed to see my baby so bad, and I think I brought a little piece of home to him on the road, so I hoped that helped! Thanks for an amazingly perfect weekend Tod.. you're the best! Love you!
Just got back from an amazing week in Sydney, Australia for New Years Eve and all I can say is - it really was amazing! Just absolutely amazing! Tod has been there for 2 weeks in rehearsals with INXS - he is their new drum tech. Its an awesome job for him! And the city is gorgeous... the weather was beautiful and the sites were awesome! Not to mention great shopping... Darlinghurst.. Kings Cross.. Newtown.. it was like Greenwhich Village times ten! And New Years eve was unbelievable.. Tod and I got a great spot down in Darling Harbour to watch the fireworks and it was awesome.. just absolutely beautiful! I never imagined i'd be spending new years eve in Sydney watching the fireworks go off from the Harbour Bridge.. but there I was and it was great! I'll never forget this new years eve - thanks to Tod and INXS for giving me the chance to experience new years eve 2006 in Sydney, Australia!
