  1. More IP Phone Fun

    I added some functionality to my home phone system. 

    The software is called HooDaHek (as in Who The Heck)

    It catalogs my incoming calls and allows me to change the CallerID as it displays on my home phones.

    The more I think about it, I would not want the first generation of these devices.  or maybe I would, and be one of the first consumers to crack the tech and manipulate the displays.



    Time to work on the creation of the CyberDeck system.

  3. More Fun in the Hospital!!

    Spent most of the day feeling neglected by the hospital staff..  Which I did not mind.
    I did get some visitors from work.  One of them brought me a nice DVD case filled with movies.
    Ginger stopped by and we watched "Snatch" (great movie)  Shortly after the movie was over and they changed my antibiotic bag which puts a nasty taste in my mouth.  Wish I could blame it for the food tasting bad, but the food has no flavor at all.
    I was moved from my room at one end of the building in an area where most people need heart monitors...  I had one for no reason.  My new room is in the elderly care unit, so now I am surrounded by old people who are hacking up lungs.  The nurse is much younger and more attractive.  she leaves around seven pm. 
    I am hoping someone will hover nearby tonight and watch a movie with me,  later tonight, I will probably do more work related things like learn more PHP, WOOT!

    I ended up in the hospital over the weekend.  It turns out that I have an abscess in my face.  With the left side of my face being in the state it is in, they decided to keep me in the hospital for a few days.  I have pictures, and I am debating on placing them here for your "enjoyment."  I have not decided yet.  I will keep everyone informed via this here blog.

    I have been attempting to get SIP phones to work with my asterisk system.  mainly using Linksys vonage voip routers that I unlocked to test things with.  all sorts of fun here.  more later!!
