    1. Tell us a little about yourself?
I am a native New Yorker whose family heritage originates in Jamaica, West Indies. In addition to being the founder and CEO of C&G Enterprises, I am also a devoted wife and mother to husband Andrew, Co-Founder and CFO of C&G Enterprises and two sons Josiah and Jeremy. I received my B.A. in Sociology from St. John's University (Queens, New York) and am currently pursuing my Ed. M at Columbia University. I am a proud member of the following organizations; Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Ezekiel's House of Prayer Church & Choir, St. John's University Black Alumni Association, The Cambria Heights Civic Association, and Give ‘N Take, just to name a few.

    2. What does your business do?
I founded C&G Enterprises in 1994. Since then, C&G has developed into three main entities: The C&G Youth Scholars Program, which provides life skills and leadership training lectures and presentations to various community-based youth programs and women’s organizations; C&G Professional Event Coordinators, which provides event coordination services for meetings & conferences, special events, and weddings; and C&G Technology Support, which offers desktop support services to home based and small business users. All three divisions can be accessed at www.cgenterprisesonline.com.

    3. How did you discover your passion?

I discovered my passion by realizing what came easily to me, and harder to most and what brought me the most inner satisfaction when I did it. Basically it was determining what I would do even if I weren’t paid for it.

    4. What is your favorite marketing tactic?

Keeping up our company’s standard of excellence, which has continued to yield us the priceless word of mouth advertising that has increased sales.

    5. What have been your major obstacles and how did you overcome them?

Cash flow and staffing have been my major obstacles. I continue to solve these challenges by setting up a disciplined plan to keep new customers coming to our door and utilizing quality interns and independent contractors.

    6. How do you relax or spend your down time?

Shamefully I have to schedule down time because my mind is always racing on ways to bring in and improve our business. However, when I can schedule that time I enjoy going to the movies and live theatrical performances. But my number one pastime is sleep, because I don’t get much of it?
