PAINTER LEROY NEIMAN UNVEILS MURAL
FOR SPORTS MUSEUM OF AMERICA


New York, NY (April 25, 2008) - Renowned sports artist, LeRoy Neiman, unveiled a life-sized mural created exclusively for the Sports Museum of America today at 26 Broadway in lower Manhattan.

Neiman put the finishing touches on this 7 foot x 157-foot mural in preparation for the Sports Museum of America opening on May 7. The official artist at five Olympiads and chronicler of countless sports and leisure activities, Neiman will at long last imprint his legacy on a national museum of sports and his art will live in a space dedicated to celebrating his passion under one roof.

The Sports Museum of America, the nation's first and only all-sports experience, will feature state-of-the-art interactive technologies, dramatic original films and an iconic collection of sports memorabilia. It will also be home to the legendary Heisman Trophy and the Billie Jean King International Women's Sports Center, including the first Women's Sports Hall of Fame.
