I'm quite anticipating the upcoming COMME des GARCONS for H&M collaboration, Rei Kawakubo will design a women’s and a men’s collection, there will also be accessories and an exclusive unisex fragrance will also be included in the collection. The world launch of the collection will be at the opening of H&M’s second store in Tokyo, Japan, on November 8th. Launch date for other H&M markets will be on November 13th.
“I have always been interested in the balance between creation and business. It is a dilemma, although for me creation has always been the first priority. It is a fascinating challenge to work with H&M since it is a chance to take the dilemma to its extreme, and try to solve it”, says Rei Kawakubo, COMME des GARÇONS.
The collection consists of both women’s and men’s and is clearly very Japanese and stays true to Rei Kawakubo’s avant-garde style. Come November, I’m sure all Rei Kawakubo/COMME des GARCONS fans will invade H&M. I’m hoping I will be able get a piece or two- lots of polka dots, the black lolita goth dress is quite interesting, the details are amazing and jackets are all great. They even made the female models look like Rei Kawakubo, how cute- I love it! Check out the men's preview here. What are your thoughts?![]()

Get your lace on ladies, lace is a key trend this fall season! On the runways, designers like Prada, Derek Lam, Giorigo Armani and Alexander McQueen all featured lace in their collections. The look of lace is feminine, antique, sexy and sophisticated but also can be played down depending on how you work the outfit. I personally prefer not to wear it head to toe- that's too much, one piece of lace per outfit is the way to go. Lace is so fabulous!

Blake Lively and Leighton Meester on the set of Gossip Girl
I must admit I'm a huge fan of Gossip Girl and the fashion in the show (who isn't right?), Leighton Meester aka Blair Waldorf wears a headband all the time in the show and it has slowly influenced me as well. I've ordered a bunch of headbands these past few nights and dug out some of my old one as well.
Dee & Ricky was sweet enough to make me a Lego Red Heart Headband, which is super cute! I've worn it yesterday and got a bunch of compliments and questions about it already- will def put it more in use! The only problem is sometimes headbands give me headaches- does that happen to you? Since feathers is a big hit for this season, I've bought a few headbands with feathers- can't wait to get it!!
Leighton Meester on set
I'd mostly buy cheaper ones since my fad will go away at anytime, I'm so unpredictable sometimes! Are you a fan of headbands? Any nice ones you can recommend?
DimePiece L.A. Legs $65
I'm a huge fan of leggings, no matter in or out I'll still be rockin' them- they're a staple in my closet just like jeans. Luckily leggings is still strong haha, I can't get enough of them. Besides the basic black leggings I also love printed ones, the funkier the better. They look super hot with a plain top and shoes, they're different and attracts a lot of attention when you're roaming the city in them.
When I rocked the DimePiece L.A. Legs in just 2 hours I had about 10 people come up to me complimenting them and asking where they can get themselves a pair- super hot! Printed leggings make a simple outfit more interesting and definitely a trendy item!! Get yourself a pair!!
Check out some of my favorites below...

DimePiece Scrabble Legs $65 (also in available in black)

>> Are there any other dope printed leggings you can recommend to me?
While most of the news and people's main focus is on the Apple iPhone 3G, my mind is set on the BlackBerry Bold that is slated to release mid-August for AT&T users according to Engadget. If you're a T-Mobile user like me, it will be a later release (no word on official release date)- sigh! This phone is definitely on the top of my list, I'm obsessed with my Curve but this Bold is sleek and sexy!
According to the official press release, the Bold is “crafted from premium materials, inside and out and it is designed to give business professionals and power users unprecedented functionality and performance.†The black leather-like exterior and silver chrome finished frame is so stylish and what makes me want this phone, not to mention the incredible speed (tri-band HSDPA high-speed networks around the world), power and functionality the phone has to offer. Is it hot or what? Do you anticipate this Bold?
I'm a sucker for anything new and innovative, I was first introduced to the Twins aka Dee and Ricky when I went on the Camp Beverly Hills Field Trip in Las Vegas. The Twins are fun and creative, their Lego belts and brooches are what caught my eyes and Marc Jacobs. I want all of it, so cute and makes an outfit more interesting.
Dee and Ricky has recently launched their online shop, you can cop their belts and brooches directly on there. Just a heads up, they're having a special sale for their Red Heart Lego Brooch at FredFlare.com for $20 versus $65- cop it quick!

Your girl nitro:licious has got the official press release and images for the Louis Vuitton at COMME des GARCONS Collection, check it out! I am sure this collection will fly off the shelves regardless of what people say, why? Because it's a collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Rei Kawakubo from COMME des GARCONS, if you want a piece of this- fly to Japan!Per the press release: On September 4, 2008, Louis Vuitton opens an impermanent store inside Comme des Garçons in Tokyo. The idea for the project emerged from the memories of Comme des Garçons founder Rei Kawakubo. In 1978, as a young designer, she saw the first Louis Vuitton store to open in Japan and was fascinated by the image of French craftsmanship and art de vivre it projected – a luxury that seemed to her, at the time, unattainable. Three decades on, Rei Kawakubo wanted to revisit her impressions, and so the association between Comme des Garçons and Louis Vuitton was born.
Intriguingly, Louis Vuitton is celebrating this year its 30th anniversary in Japan. Rei Kawakubo has dedicated and re-designed the entire Comme des Garcons store on Kottodori, Omotesando especially for Louis Vuitton for the duration of the project, from 4th September through mid-December, into a space that will be a celebration of the Louis Vuitton Monogram. The fruit of this unprecedented collaboration – an exclusive collection of six one-off bags – will be presented in a minimalist space, at the centre of which will be a display of historic Louis Vuitton trunks. Inspired by her memories, Rei Kawakubo chose the legendary Monogram canvas to create two Party bags, small evening purses with outsized natural leather handles. The designer also customized two classic Louis Vuitton bags, endowing the Papillon with kawaii (cute) animal charms and the Mini HL with multiple slender handles. Lastly, Louis Vuitton is reediting two iconic designs from the 1970s – the Petit Marceau and the Sac 2 Poches – which Rei Kawakubo is likely to have seen in the windows of that first Louis Vuitton store.
The bags will only be available upon order, which is only to be placed at the “Louis Vuitton at Comme des Garçons storeâ€. No telephone or Internet orders will be taken. In return, customers will receive a certificate inside a special card holder in Louis Vuitton’s traditional natural leather, embossed with the Louis Vuitton at Comme des Garçons signature. Only several months later will their bag be delivered to their chosen Louis Vuitton store. Other iconic Louis Vuitton Monogram bags, such as the Speedy and Alma chosen by Rei Kawakubo, will also be on display and available for immediate sale inside this special “Louis Vuitton at Comme des Garçons†store. via nitro:licious

Oh man, I think I may need the Papillon with animal charms and Mini HL with multiple slender handles! What do you think of this collaboration?
Sienna Miller / Ashley Simpson
For summer a big hit are the clear plastic framed sunglasses, I've seen the trend in Spring 2008 runways like Lanvin, Matthew Williamson and Sonia Rykiel. For "trendy" items like this I usually like to go cheap and buy a fairly inexpensive pair to just rock for the season. I went with the Forever 21 "Retro Clear Sunglasses" for $5.80, it looks uber cute and the thick frame resembles a bit of the Lanvins! Sienna Miller was seen several times in the Benjamin "Kanye" Clear Sunglasses $325 and Ashley Simpson rocks the two-tone Ray-Ban "Tonal Wayfarer Sunglasses" $139 which is a great option too, those two are amongst a few celebs wearing clear framed sunglasses.

Below are a few options, do you covet the clear frames?

Grey Ant "Status" Sunglasses $253
Benjamin "Kanye" Clear Sunglasses $325
Benjamin "Nicole 002" Clear Sunglasses $325
Not much celebrity lines are worthy to be mentioned except for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's Elizabeth and James contemporary line. Their line fuses a feminine casual and glamourous chic look, definitely has a vintage vibe to it as well, its very them. They also have a higher-end line called The Row but that's even more pricer than the contemporary line. Mary-Kate and Ashley has been seen rockin' Elizabeth and James pieces in style along with a long list of celebrities, the most recent is Rihanna. Rih Rih was seen rockin' the Feather James Blazer ($765) pair with Kova & T Oxy Leggings, Ray-Ban Wayfarer Sunglasses and the Monogramouflage Speedy 35. This blazer is one of my favorites, the feather trim is so unique and the overall look is so versatile, its definitely a piece that can be worn over and over.
For summer, the Denim Shorts with detachable braided-leather suspenders ($275) is perfect, show them legs off!
Check out the Elizabeth and James collection at Shopbop.com. Do you like the collection?
By this time you must all know that I luv MK + A Olsen and Rihanna haha!
Photography: Style.com ~ Spring '08 Runway
Spring/Summer '08 is all about pop colors, vibrant brights and daring hues makes any outfit stand out! The burst of colors lifts the spirits and definitely turns heads, I'm a fan of bright colors and funkiness. I've been seeing lots of colors on the S/S'08 runway shoes, streets and parties, it makes me so happy when an area is filled with vibrant colors. Be sure to add some "pop" to your warddrobe, from clothes to bags to accessories to shoes to nail polish, it's all about COLOR!

I love wearing rompers / jumpers, they're so cute and playful, pair them with some dope sandals and you're good to go. The best thing is that they're great for all heights especially petite chicks like me ~ show more legs and look taller. Celebs like Nicole Richie, Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen all covet this look, speaking of which they're all shorties like me ;)!
What's your thoughts on this look?

Maxi dresses are the key look for summer, many designers has featured these willowy long dresses in their S/S '08 collections. I love the versatility, long length, soft fabrics and flowy look especially when the wind blows, its ultra feminine and sexy. Although many has criticized that long dresses are not really cut for short girls (under 5'4"), Mary-Kate Olsen, Hayden Panettiere and Christina Aguilera has proved that it can look good on shorties too. The dresses are so simple and casual that it can be worn with flats, sandals, wedges or sexy heels, it's the ultimate look for summer.
Here's a few maxi dresses that I like, do you covet this look?

Gypsy05 Twisted Strap Maxi Dress $99

Summer is here so it's all about the nice pedicure and sandals! Seems like the supermodels are diggin' the Steven by Steve Madden's Banglez sandals, they were first seen on Heidi Klum and now on Kate Moss. I actually seen these while I was traveling in LA last month but didn't pick them up b/c they didn't have my size. My choice is the silver pair, it also comes in black, gold
and white
. Its a dope pair of gladiator-inspired sandals, I just can’t get enough sandals for summer plus the studds makes it more edgy! Fab! Do you luv it or hate it?

I'm not such a beauty addict myself and don't go out much to get manicures and pedicures but I do luv putting on nail polish! I'm especially addicted to Chanel nail polishes, not b/c I'm a label whore (well sometimes haha) but b/c they have unique colors and long-lasting, chip-resistant nail color. With high-end beauty products the formula is usually better and doesn't damage your nails as bad and whenever Chanel announces a new color many brands follow and put out similar colors to get to the consumers first.
These four limited edition Chanel nail colors were released in celebration of Chanel’s second Los Angeles store opening on trendy North Robertson Boulevard. The polishes are named Rodeo Drive (purple), Melrose (pink), LA Sunset (coral) and LA Sunrise (yellow) are pop-art shades that are perfect for summer, each retail at $25! The polishes are initially available in the Roberston store then Chanel.com will stock it, so keep a lookout for the release of these if you're not in LA! I have all the colors and they are super FAB!
Nice packaging too, are you feelin' the colors?
Rihanna is definitely one of my favorites and on my top dressed list, she's not afraid to experiment and rock daring outfits! Some may say she's funky or weird, but she's definitely fabulous to me! She went on BET's 106 & Park at the BET Studios in New York City on June 18th with these FAB gladiator-inspired Balenciaga Leather High Boots from the Spring '08 collection. They are so unique, if you think they're too flashy there's a similar pair that's shorter! If you've got the budget, these are a must have! I think I'm going to check these out at the store this weekend, that's if they're still available!
Do you think they're hot or not?
I first learned about the brand Garcia Marquez a few years back when I was visiting Hong Kong, it is a very popular brand in Japan. Hong Kong fashion revolves a lot around Japanese fashion so this brand is super popular there as well. I don't think the US has caught on yet, that is why I'm introducing this brand to you guys!
Garcia Marquez bags are cute and loud with unique patterns and design, making it one of my much coveted bags! How can you resist their cute dog icon and girly designs? I've written about this brand with product previews back in 2006, I'm looking to buy a bag myself!

Chanel has always been and continues to be one of my favorite brands ever; Karl Lagerfeld is GOD! The Chanel Cruise 2009 Collection took place last month at the Raleigh Hotel in Miami Beach with models strutting down the runway with Brian Jones-inspired hair in "mixed rock 'n' roll with seventies swing and high glamour" clothing. I heart the first two looks, simple and chic! Karl Lagerfeld never fails to impress, the Cruise Collection is absolutely FABULOUS there are so many hot pieces that I want!
I'm definitely eying the handbags, shoes and accessories, check out these "Miami Vice" gun shoes! Lagerfeld was inspired by an image of a gun he saw somewhere, if these fancy you call up Chanel and get your names on the list as they will be available in stores!
The bracelets and headbands are hot too, the earrings especially! And not to mention the super fab giant heart bag with black patent CC plastered on it, I need it! If you covet any pieces, I suggest to get your names on the waiting lists - you know how Chanel rolls!
Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz and Stockholm-based Acne Jeans has teamed up on a denim collaboration. This marks the first jeans line from the designer, he aims to bring a Lanvin feel and offer women a variety of options to the collection. Expect dresses, tuxedo jackets, belted trench, blouson and jeans. Accessories includes denim bags, stilettos, earrings and medallion necklaces! The jeans line ranges from $550 to $650, while coats will costs $1,200 to $1,500, jewelry and handbags are expected to be priced starting from $1,500. The capsule collection is slated to hit stores in late November and will be available at Barneys New York and Bergdorf Goodman.
"At first, I of course imagined a silhouette of jeans that we normally think of for men and women," said Elbaz. "But then, when you think about it you can do anything with jeans--even jewelry!" via Fashion Week Daily
The trench coat is HOTNESS, I can't wait to see the full collection. What do you guys think of the collection preview?
