            1. Eliot Spitzer's Steamroller is ***ked

Why is it that the most righteous people are also the skeaziest? Eliot Spitzer, a loveably pent-up rage machine of a New York governor and former ass-kicking prosecutor, will now go down in history as Client 9. Will his dalliance with a top-shelf NYC call girl at a Washington hotel take the state's Democrats down with him, or merely give Joe Bruno the grins for the next month? Certainly, Hillary Clinton lost no time forgetting his endorsement within an hour of the scandal breaking.

The Huffington Post, among others, had the forethought to save a bunch of screenshots from the Emperor's Club V.I.P. site before it was shut down, so the prurient among us can check out what a $1000 to $5500 an hour hooker looks like.

What gets me is the sales pitch, which includes gems like this: "Our meticulous standards of beauty, intelligence and charm ensure that you always encounter the quality you've come to expect in a woman... Our goal is to make life more peaceful, balanced, beautiful and meaningful. We honor commitment to our clients as we covet long-term relationships of trust and mutual benefit."

That falls apart immediately when you read the indictment, which describes the standard hooker-john exchanges. Spitzer, for instance, wasn't so much interested in the intelligence and charm of "Kristen" as he was trying to figure out how to get enough cash out of an ATM to cover the service ($4300 and change for 2.5 hours).

Well, anyway, the countdown to the inevitable resignation has begun. And when that happens, New York will have its first black governor.

In other news, the polls are open in Mississippi. Barack Obama is expected to walk away with the state, which will have little effect on the posturing of both Democratic candidates.

It's always good for the citizenry to know who we're dealing with...

It is time the world sees him for who he is.
