   Places To Eat

   There is a nice restaurant in Upper Lake for dinner called the Blue Wing Saloon & Cafe.
   
   Also, in Lakeport, the Park Place is real good.
   
   Molly Brennan’s has great Irish Food and great beer selection (and often live Irish music).
   
   Happy Gardens is a decent (for Lake County) Chinese/Thai restaurant down in Clearlake Oaks, and the Harbor Restaurant in Nice has good Chinese food (try the Beef-Broccoli Chow Fun) .
   
   The deli in Clearlake Oaks has good homemade soup and nice (not fancy) dinners.
   
   If you don’t mind a bit longer drive, The Saw Shop Bistro and Watercolor are on the other side of the lake.
   
   Firehouse Pizza in Lucerne was really good the only time we grabbed a pizza there.
   
   There is a new Thai restaurant in Lucerne, but we haven’t tried it yet. Let us know if it’s any good.

   Be sure to budget time to visit Ceago and Tulip Hill wineries just up the road (north/west on 20).  There is a wine & food pairing often at Tulip Hill on Saturdays (say hi to Michelle if she's working) and lunch at Ceago is nice.  Do yourself a favor and try the great wine tastings and walk out to end of dock for a nice view.  Just south in Clearlake Oaks is Shannon Ridge Winery.  Award winners and you can arrange to lunch on their vineyard tour.  Most of our guests end up joining the local wine clubs, as the Lake County wines will surprise you! Oh…we’ll leave you 2 free coupons for wine tasting at Tulip Hill and Shannon Ridge.

   If you want a thrill, rent a jet-ski for 2 at Disney’s Water Sports in Lakeport. They have big, 2-3 seaters and are hard to tip.  So much fun for 2, for about $60-$75 (weekdays, before noon, you get extra ½ hour free).
   
   Check out the concert series at Konocti Resort and Spa.
   
   Views:
   Be sure to walk (or drive) up to the top of Pearl Court (by water tanks) for an awesome photo spot. Also drive down Pearl, continue to the end of Al Drive for another great view. Most local postcards are shot from these 2 spots. You’ll see why!
