Vietnam- That word still to this day brings memories that are not always pleasant. It was not a popular war. It was a war which much like the war between the states pitted brother against brother, tore familes apart and sent many men across the border to Canada.
However, many men and women served  their country with pride- many gave their lives for what they felt was honorable. Many came back home to hatred and prejudice. Still they served.
In 1973 Siagon fell. America lost the war and our troops came home. Many tried to re-gain their lost lives, some lost their lives, and some just dissappeared. But all remembered.
Chaplain Vincent W. Carroll also remembers. But he chose different memeories. He brings DaNang to light in a different way. His poems of that time period give a new way to look at that lost time in history.
