  1. Planet Preservation & what I did this past week to do my part.

    23.Jun.08, 00:20 EDT
    Things I do each day:

When my dogs water bowl gets dirty I reclaim the water by watering all my plants.

I use a metal thermos for water everyday instead of buying plastic and when I don't drink it all, I put it in the dogs bowl or water more plants.

Use vinegar and water to clean everything from the windows, to the counter tops, floors, ect.

I also use old newspaper instead of paper towel to clean windows.

Recycled about 6 cans and a pile of paper.

Reuse paper in the copy machine for things that aren't important, I just flip it over and use the back side.

    Rode our bikes to Walgreens.

Walked the dogs to the post office instead of driving.

Everyday I do many things to help make a difference.

  2. Small way's you can help with the Environment!

Here are just a few, if you know any, please add them. Thanks! 1) Carry around the same plastic bottle instead of buying a new one each day. Just refill it before you leave the house, at a water fountain, even from the tap. 2) Take your old plastic grocery bags back to the store and re-use them again. 3) Re-use ziplock bags. Sound gross? It's doesn't have to be. If you just put something like crackers in it, just wash it out and use if to put non-food items in for storage. You would be amazed at how many things you can store in ziplock bags. 4) Energy efficient lightbulbs can be expensive, but did you know you that you can get them at the dollar store for cheap? Yep, you would be amazed at what you can get at the dollar store.
  3. Big Business Needs to Step Up and Recycle, Like MOLI!

My husband and I fill atleast 3 large plastic garbage bags full of recycling each week. EACH WEEK! It's just the two of us! (and our 4 dogs) Where his warehouse is located, they don't have a pick up, so he has everyone recycle there and then he brings it home and we take care of it. I have yet to see a mall, airport or hotel with recycling bins in the lobby or in the rooms. Is there anyone we can talk to? Why? Is it too expensive? Do they not care? Can we boycott them? (hehe) JUST A THOUGHT! hippiekit
