                        Bob Harvey is a philanthropist and the author who created a place where ‘No People Are Allowed Without Pets’ in his FULL-COLOR novel, Catalyst.                         Harvey, armed with a Graphic Design degree, spent the 1970s traveling extensively throughout Europe and South America as line builder/designer for fashion importers and coordinated wholesale sales to North American retailers. An incorrigible entrepreneur, Harvey returned to the US and launched several enterprises culminating in his position as President of Fashion Business Systems – an early PC software innovator specializing in automation solutions for the small to mid-size, independent retailers. Harvey navigated the firm from start-up to IBM Valued Added Reseller with over 100 clients including endorsements by Wrangler, Athletes Foot, Big & Tall Shops, Armani, and many others.

                        In 1991, as a recent transplant to Texas, Harvey had his life re-invented at age 45 when he was adopted by a stray cat and became a dedicated pet lover. Harvey set down roots, becoming an equity partner and the head of operations for a start-up, retail concept.

                        Over the next 12 years, pet rescues and adoptions brought numerous cat and dog companions into Harvey’s life. His tenacity helped drive the enterprise to 1,000 retail shops (ranked 7th in Austin Business Journal’s ‘96 Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies & placed 124th in ‘98’s 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America).

                        At 57, Bob Harvey’s life was re-directed yet again by a four-legged catalyst. This time, a Shepherd-wolf named Bravo that Harvey had rescued when a pup, was now aging and diagnosed with cancer. Harvey accepted early retirement and walked away from the award winning firm he helped found to become Bravo’s full-time, homeopathic care-giver.

                        During the next three years Harvey experienced a right-brained explosion of creativity to share the wonders and benefits of the human/animal bond. To tell such a tale demanded more than mere black letters on a stark white background and Catalyst, the first FULL-COLOR novel was born.

                        Seasoned in germinating ideas into reality, Bob Harvey realized making a difference demanded he spread the word. In 2007, Harvey set up the Pet Passionate Portal on the mega, interactive, MOLI.com platform to celebrate the human/animal bond and honor the real-life heroes who perform miracles for animals everyday.

                        Then on Veterans Day, November 11, 2007, he launched Thank a Wounded Vet & Save an Injured Pet. Conceived on the pages of his novel, this program raises funds to deliver 5,000 copies of Catalyst to hospitalized, wounded Veterans. In addition, Harvey will donate 100% of the program’s profits to animal rescue groups as he makes his “Thank You Tour” to visit the hospitals.

                        Bob Harvey’s affinity for nature has sent him on sailing excursions from the Caribbean to the Galapagos Islands and on photographic, wilderness adventures in Africa, Alaska, and the Amazon. He has hiked, biked, horse-backed, ballooned, glided, or traversed just about all of the US states and parts of Canada.
                         
                        Harvey is a member of numerous humane organizations and the World Future Society. He is a part-time, foster caregiver for a blind cat and frequently donates his time and novel at animal rescue/adoption fundraising events.

                        Bob Harvey is an engaging speaker on the subjects of the Human/Animal Bond and the Creation of Intentional Communities. He also teaches his KaleidoScript™ presentation format in multi-media "MAX YOUR TEXT" workshops.

                        Harvey is currently working on book two in the Me & You Too series, Dogma, while surrounded by rescued strays at his Texas Hill Country home.
