So we arrived in Cork Ireland, and we came upon the venue, and as you can see... It looked like a circus tent from the outside.
One thing about the festivals / European venues it seems, is a lot of the spots look like this...
This one turned out to be a harrowing adventure, as I was setting up my gear, and I turned on my computer and I got this :
YES, for windows users - the DREADED BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH. About 4 hours to show time.
Well, every good planner needs a backup, so I had my MAC (GASP!!!) that I had just bought on the heart of the city tour (just in case) in my bag.
Why did I right Gasp ?? Well, when it comes to the dividing lines of mac versus PC, I am very much a PC dude, so so is like 95% of the technology marketshare - look it up if u dont believe it.
BUT, in the music world, macs usually run it, and since that point, I've been usin the mac for the gig....
YOU WIN THIS ROUND STEVE JOBS...
At the end of the night all was well, the show was fun, and the band and crew went out to hang out with some of the local cork folk at an afterparty -
I ended up chillin with some of them at one of their cribs - reminded me of college all over again....
I must say, that I definitely got a thing for the Irish!
