Yesterday was intense. I have only 3 days (including yesterday) to build a restaurant set and then animate about 15 seconds of dialogue. But I didn't want to use the set from the Blind Date, or have it look anything like it (though I did use the same tables and chairs, just re-painted them). So I quickly threw together "The Shrimp Shack!" I started out the day going to michaels and buying netting, shells, starfish and other sea-themed crap. then I built the set (it probably took 5 hours), and THEN animated about 4 seconds.
It's been quite a while since I've turned anytrhing around that fast, and I actually REALLY like the set, for having done it so quick. It's the first one I've done that I think my dad would really be proud of. I had to walk a fine line between having the set look tacky, but not look like a bad set.
Above is Bre, animating the lizard character she made. You can see him in the background of the shot. This is her first time animating and she did a great job. Tonight I animate more, lets hope I can finish this fast.
