Considering the importance of "Green Build" and the "Eco System", Turanair has the satisfaction of knowing that every time a T-FORCEâ„¢ Air Power System is sold, one less gas generator and /or compressor is being used, which greatly reduces air, soil, water and noise pollution.Â
Turanair Systems, Inc. offers a new line of products that helps solve the air, soil, water and noise pollution problems caused by replacing the traditional methods of using generators and compressors; and brings about a fresh new important approach to building "green". Â
The T-FORCE™ Air Power Systems are the first energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly, portable air supply systems for the construction industry. They are compatible with virtually every pneumatic/air tool on the market today. In addition, by using the T-FORCE™ air system, contractors can eliminate the daily non-productive down-time costs associated with setting-up, using, storing, transporting, and maintaining traditional generators, compressors, long air hoses, extension cords, as well as the use of gasoline, oil and filters.
A TURANAIR SCENARIO; a contractor goes to a jobsite, gets out of his truck, opens his tool box, takes out his tool pouch and belt and attaches a Work Bottle the size of a thermos to his work belt. He snaps his pneumatic tool into the Work Bottle's small hose connector and now he is ready to start work. Clean, Easy and Fast!!. There is no need for loud, heavy generators, compressors, gas cans, long air hoses, extension cords, gas or oil. If all contractors could go to work with a tank of clean compressed air, how great would that be?Â
Controlling contruction noise has always been a challenge for the general contractor. Much of the noise from construction is caused by generators and compressors. These noises have been found to be responsible for causing a great deal of ill affects and fatigue in workers and other individuals within the surrounding area.
It is now widely recognized that noise levels generated are unacceptable in many instances and that reductions are necessary for the benefit of both the industry and the public.
Generator and compressor oil changes are done everyday on contruction sites. Don't think for one moment that the oil is disposed of according to EPA standards; it isn't. A couple quarts of oil are automatically dumped onto the ground where the generator or compressor sits. Once the oil is emptied, the worker simply covers it up with some dirt using his foot. Let's not forget about the oil filters which are usually tossed onto the ground, just to be covered up in the same manner. Neither the oil nor oil filters are bio-degradable!Â
What makes it even worse is all that oil eventually seeps into our water supply and contaminates our water and us.
As the environmental impact of building becomes more apparent, a new field called, GreenBuilding, is gaining momentum. Green or sustainable building is the practice of creating healthier and more resource-efficient models of construction. Green Building encompasses the conservation of land, building with recycled materials and new environmentaly friendly products.
With a growing respect for the U.S. Green Building Council, building contractors worldwide are starting to realize the ramifications of their actions towards the environment and are joining forces with Green Build Associations to become ecologically aware of their building practices to attain a healthy sustainable living environment.
However, while in the process of building these "GREEN HOMES and BUILDINGS", we are continuing to pollute the atmosphere with tremendous amounts of CO2, other toxic emmissions and pollutants- all day everyday!
There are four main issues concerning the environment encompassing construction sites that have seemingly gone unaddressed: air pollution, soil and water contamination and noise pollution.
Â
TURANAIR OFFERSÂ THE SOLUTION TO THESE SERIOUS POLLUTION PROBLEMS
Air Pollution:Â
Air Pollution from traditional gasoline generators and gas and/or electric compressors on residential and commercial contruction sites is a tremendous problem. After a site is cleared, generators are used to run compressors, producing air-power for pneumatic / air tools and the contractor can now start to build the foundation forms. From this day forward, many generators and compressors are operated continuously by various trades until the building is completed.
These trades include: carpenters, electricians, plumbers, cement contractors, air conditioning contractors, trim carpenters, roofers, drywall contractors, painters; just about eveyone on the jobsite. There are approx. 2 million new "residential" homes built each year in the United States. The amount of air pollution emitted from this equipment everyday on a jobsite for building just one home is staggering.
Gas generators, compressors, and small engines [25hp or less] are presently being reviewed by the EPA and the California Air Resources Board to develop exhaust-emissions regulations. Because of their successful research, it has become apparent how much these generators, compressors and small engines really contribute to air pollution.Â
Statistics The following numbers are astounding...
There are 15 million cars and light-duty trucks and more than 35 million small engines like generators, compressors and residential and commercial lawn equipment sold each year in the United States. A standard 4hp gas generator engine emits 640 times more Carbon Monoxide and 50 times more Hydrocarbons and Nitrogen Dioxide in a "single hour" than a statndard light duty truck!
Dangerous exhaust gases emitted from gasoline are Carbon monoxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, Hydrocarbons and particulates:Â Â
CARBON MONOXIDE:Â Is a poisonous gas which can reduce the ability of the bood to deliver oxygen to vital organs marking it potentially fatal.
NITROGEN DIOXIDE: [A product of oxides of nitrogen] is what is needed to complete a series of chemicalreaction which forms smog. Smog causes varios respiratoryailments and damages vegetation.
HIDROCARBONS: Derive froms unburnt fuel. Many are volatile and help forms smog while other hidrocarbons are carcinogenic [cancer causing].Â
PARTICULATES: Can be very prominent in diesel fuel engines and take on two different forms, small solid matters and liquid dropets. They remain suspended in the air, to be breathed in causing respiratory diseases.
Over a 5yr period, standard electric job compressors that are bought for $300 will cost as much as $3000 in electricity to run them. Our compressor costs less than $.01(one cent) in electricity to fill up our Work Bottle.

Turanair™  has a "Green Build" Agenda of its own;
"Build with Clean Air Power"
Â
Perfect for Sustainable Living.
Create Health Conscious Jobsites
Greatly Increase Energy Savings.
Eliminate traditional methods of using standard gas generator & electric compressors.
Eliminate daily non-productive down-time costs associated with storing, transporting, maintaining, setting up and breaking down the existing "out-dated" air power systems of today.
Reduce safety hazards by eliminating long air houses and extension cords.
Eliminate unnecessary use of gas, oil water, batteries, fuel cells or filters for building.
Eliminate odors and fumes, creating a non-polluting building environment.
Eliminate toxic waste disposal of oil, batteries and fuel cells.
GAS GENERATORS AND COMPRESSORS Small engines (25hp or less) such as gas powered generators and compressors are presently being reviewed by the EPA and the California Air Resources Board to develop exhaust-emissions regulations. Since emissions controls have become so effective in the auto industry, it has become apparent through research how much these small engines really contribute to air pollution. There are approx. 15 million cars and light trucks sold each year in the U.S.as compared to approx. 35 million small engines sold. The odors from gasoline are emitted exhaust gases which are Carbon Monoxide, Oxides of Nitrogen, Hydrocarbons and Particulates.
Â
THE NUMBERS ARE ASTOUNDING... A standard 4hp engine such as what is inside a compressor/generator emits more than 640 times the amount of Carbon Monoxide and 50 times more Hydrocarbons and Oxides of Nitrogen in a SINGLE HOUR than a standard light duty truck.
Â
Carbon Monoxide Is a poisonous gas which can reduce the ability of the blood to deliver oxygen to vital organs making it potentially fatal.
Nitrogen Dioxide  (A product of Oxides of Nitrogen) is what is needed to complete a series of chemical reactions which form smog. Smog causes various respiratory ailments and damages vegetation.
Hydrocarbons Derived from unburnt fuel. Many are volatile and help form smog while other Hydrocarbons are carcinogenic (cancer causing).
Particulates Can be very prominent in diesel fuel engines and take on two different forms, small solid matter and liquid droplets. They remain suspended in the air, to be breathed in, causing respiratory diseases.
FACT; There are approx. 2 million "Residential"  homes to be built every year for the next ten years.
Â
FACT; Each year, GAS powered generators and     compressors on these job sites ALONE, will emit 12,000
tons of Carbon Monoxide; and ...482 tons of Hydrocarbons and Oxides of Nitrogen PER  DAY.
AND
FOR ELECTRIC COMPRESSORS;Â it will cost an additional $770,000 A DAY to run all the electric compressors that are on these jobs.
...about the T-FORCE™ 1000, Traditional Methods of Energy (Generators & Compressors) and the Environment
Â
Â
The T-FORCE™ 1000 uses no gas, oil, batteries, fuel cells or filters. It produces no(zero) fumes that create pollution. The T-FORCE™1000 simply uses clean, dry air from the atmosphere, compresses it to run pneumatic tools and releases clean air back into the atmosphere.
Â
Looking at the various air pollutants from generators and compressors used on jobsites, we found numerous dangerous chemicals that are being dispersed and circulated into the earth’s atmosphere, ruining it’s ozone each day, as well as tremendously affecting people’s health. These polutants are producing at an extremely alarming rate.
